NEW NBA DFS Lineup Weekly GPP Report for DraftKings 3/30

Welcome to a another edition of the NBA DFS Lineup Weekly GPP Report for DraftKings. I’ll be focusing on the Draftkings main contest on the main slate every day from the previous week. The “main contest” is the $15 unless DK switches things up and offers a $20 contest or maybe even a special lower priced event like an $8 contest.

All of the information presented below comes via Fantasy Cruncher Pro and their Lineup Study and Rewind features. This is a must have tool if you’re being serious about DFS. You’ll have the ability to go back through years worth of data and analyze great players, or like I’ll be doing, specific contests. I really can’t recommend FC Pro enough.

March 23, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $10 NBA $450K Pull Up Jumper:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for DraftKings 3-23

This was a six-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players above 9k in salary, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and two players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

What’s been really crazy/interesting about doing these reports is there are days when I’m like “I liked all of these players” but somehow I didn’t have the right combination. Or I go back and check my ownerships and I have zero Aminu or someone else I noted as a good play. You have to be super thorough when building your lineups.

March 24, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the first place entry in the $20 NBA $400K Shootaround:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for DraftKings 3-24

This was an 11-game slate with a winning entry that featured no players priced above 9k, one player projected for 40+ fantasy points, and no players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

We have a team stack and a mini game stack but overall this was a contrarian lineup in my view. There were 11 games so ownership gets spread out but five players with an ownership below 10% is still unique.

March 25, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $20 NBA $400K Shootaround:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for DraftKings 3-25

This was a five-game slate with a winning entry that featured no players above 9k in salary, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and four players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

Chalked ruled the day or the night, depending on how you look at things. Either way, there were only two players with an actual ownership below 20%. There were only five games so ownership is going to be a little higher than normal. This was still an extremely chalky lineup.

March 26, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $20 NBA $400K Shootaround :

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for DraftKings 3-26

This was a 11-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players above 9k in salary, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

I’d say that this lineup falls into a pretty normal build for NBA DFS lineups on DraftKing. There’s a couple of teammate stacks, at least two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and a solid mix of chalky players and low owned players.

March 27, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $20 NBA $400K Shootaround:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for DraftKings 3-27

This was a nine-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players above 9k in salary, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and five players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

Sometimes the chalk is too good to pass up, for instance, when a team decides that it’s “Bench Day” and sits all of their starters. The three players from the Milwaukee Bucks were all priced at 3k and all hit at least 8x value. It’s kinda crazy that this lineup “only” scored 385.25.

March 28, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $20 NBA $400K Shootaround:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for DraftKings 3-28

This was a three-game slate with a winning entry that featured no players above 9k in salary, one player projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

It’s pretty incredible that a lineup could have this relatively low ownership on a three-game slate. Only two out of the three players projected to be owned more than 20% actually broke that threshold. You have to get creative when we’re dealing with fewer games and this is a really good example from “Byrd53.”

March 29, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $15 NBA $400K Fadeaway:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for DraftKings 3-29

This was an 11-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players above 9k in salary, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

No Westbrook, no cash (Doesn’t mean you did cash if you used him though). James Harden scored 78.75 fantasy points and wasn’t the highest scoring player on the slate. That’s bananas.

Bradley Beal didn’t play for Washington but even that doesn’t explain a damn near 100 fantasy point night from Westbrook. Just an awesome performance.

CONCLUSION

I had a decent week on DraftKings that included me taking second in a quarter contest for $300.  But man it gets rough out in these streets. I’ve had Team Rise or Fall members message me in Discord and ask which site is easier. The real answer is none of them. This is a hard life we’ve chosen.

What I can say about a site being easier is it’s good to hunt for overlay. For those that don’t know, overlay is when a contest doesn’t fill to a certain percentage and the sites have to eat the loss. For instance, if there’s a contest with 100,000 available entries but only 65,000 entries are made, there’s overlay. And if the top 20,000 positions are paid we just went from needing to be in the top 20% to now needing to finish in the top 30%. Advantage us.

In my opinion or in my view, DraftKings has the least amount of contests that overlay. SuperDraft tends to have a decent amount of overlay.  The low stakes contests on FanDuel were overlaying A LOT but they’ve reduced the numbers of entries as we’ve gotten later into the season. It’s something to keep an eye on.

That’s all from me for now. I’ll see you all in a week. Until then, LET’S GET THIS MONEY!
