NBA Fastbreak 7-30-20

Welcome back everyone, we’ve been away for a little over 140 days but today, the NBA finally returns to finish out the 2020. Lets hope they can get through it all without any Covid-19 outbreaks that force another shut down.

In this article I’m going to quickly go over some basic slate info to get our day started. This is not going to be an in depth detailed breakdown of each matchup, but more of a Macro view of the slate each morning. I’ll drop some injury blurbs in here as well that we should be monitoring and I’ll try to make a note of what those injuries mean for us in our DFS contests today.

I’m confident in our team here at Rise or Fall, and I am confident that our Content, Tools, and One-on-One Coaching will help you become a more competitive player right out of the gate. Check out our Membership Options here

Not a big slate today, only 2 games but we’ve got a MILLY MAKER on Fanduel 👀 that we’ll be attacking tonight!!!

Slate Preview

Utah Jazz (109) vs New Orleans Pelicans (111.5)
Vegas: Pelicans -2.5

LA Clippers (106) vs LA Lakers (110.5)
Vegas: Lakers -4.5

Pace up or Pace down

What is Pace? Well, a quick google search leads us a great explanation.

Pace, or how many possessions a team uses per 48 minutes, is something we often discuss when referring to specific teams or even specific eras of NBA history. It goes to the core of a team’s identity, defines it against its peers. Fast teams are fun. They run, they score, they entertain. Slow teams defend.

Utah Jazz (101.4) vs New Orleans Pelicans (108.3)
– Big bace up spot for the Jazz

Jazz get a nice bump in pace which should lead for more scoring opportunities vs the fast paced Pelicans team.

LA Clippers (105.9) vs LA Lakers (104.4)
– Slight pace up spot for Clipers

Nothing really substantial here for either team

📈 NBA STUDY HUB IS LIVE! 📈

Come check out our newest STUDY HUB. This will give you a quick overview of the slate. You’ll be able to quickly see how a player has performed vs today’s opponent in the past. You’ll also be able to see his recent Fantasy Point Trends and Minutes Trends, along with how frequently he has paid off today’s current price tag this season.

Injury Situations

NOP – Zion Williamson – Questionable
– if Zion is out look for Nicolo Melli to get the start
– other starters like Brandon Ingram and Jrue Holiday get a bump in production if Zion is out

UTA – Bojan Bogdanovic – OUT
– Joe Ingles will start with Bogdanovic being out for the year with a wrist injury
– Jordan Clarkson becomes a solid value play

LAL – Rajon Rondo – OUT
LAL – Avery Bradley – OUT

LAC – Montrezl Harrell – OUT
LAC – Patrick Beverly – Questionable
LAC – Lou Williams – OUT

I love you all, but I can’t give everything away for free. If you want more insight on these injury situations and how they effect tonight’s slate you’ll have to sign up for one of our Patreon Memberships, and jump in the discord with the coaches. As more news drops we will let you know exactly who is out and exactly who benefits with each situation.

Top Plays

I’ve set up a Rating for both Fanduel and Draftkings on the ROF Study Hub. This rating is something I’ve been working on that takes into account several factors of each slate each day. Rather than simply looking at the standard Projection and Value, my hope is that this rating will give us another level of insight each day.

Anthony Davis leads the slate with a 92.72 rating on Fanduel, while Paul George leads the slate with a 99.47 rating on Draftkings. Both should be fully in play in all formats tonight. I’ll list a few of the other top options below

Fanduel

Donovan Mitchell
Paul George
Rudy Gobert

Draftkings

Donovan Mitchell
Rudy Gobert
LeBron James

Wrap it up

That’s all I’ve got for this 1st slate. It’s a 2 gamer so don’t drive yourself crazy trying to build the PERFECT LINEUP. Just have fun with this slate, throw a few darts at that Milly Maker on Fanduel and sit back and enjoy the fact that NBA BASKETBALL is finally back!!!

Love you all, thank you for checking out the article, and thank you for your continued support 💓💯
