Slate Overview

Saturday’s slate much like Friday’s offers us a look at two series that are 2-0, while the other two series are 1-1.  Something to look out for is players that look like they’re fatigued.  After a few days of overs hitting, we’ve seen a huge drop in scoring the last two days.  Some of these players are starting to look gassed and I would be very careful at which studs you target today.

Point Guard

At PG today the first guy I’m looking at is Chris Paul ($7,800).  In the first two games of the series, Paul played 37 minutes.  Down 0-2, I expect Paul to be on the floor for another 37 if not more.  The thunder is not a bad team and although they have looked like one early in this series, I’m expecting a bounce-back performance today from OKC.  That will be hard-pressed to do without a big game from CP3 today.

If you’re looking for a little cheaper of an option check out Goran Dragic ($6,000) today. Dragic has been thrust into the starting lineup in the playoffs and has not disappointed.  Averaging 32 minutes a game so far in these playoffs, Dragic has done well with his time on the court scoring 31.8 and 42.5 DKFP.

*Note –I would stay away from Lillard today.  He’s a player that has looked out of gas to me and coming off a dislocated finger I’m far from interested at that price.

Shooting Guard

My favorite play at shooting guard today is James Harden ($11,600).  Westbrook will be out once again for the Rockets today. He’ll see a large usage boost once again and although he’s struggled a bit in the first two games of the series you just cannot keep a scorer as prolific as Harden down for too long.

My lower-priced play at the shooting guard position today is Evan Fournier ($5,200).  Fournier has struggled a bit in the first two games of the series, but as a guy that consistently plays 35 minutes and takes 10-15 shots, I’ll try again on Fournier today.  The potential is certainly there and I like his price tag a lot today.

Small Forward

He’s not the most expensive guy at the position but my favorite play at small forward today is Eric Gordon ($5,100).  Gordon has played 30+ minutes in both games this series and has gone for 30+ DKFP in both as well.  He’s registered 17 and 20 shot attempts so far in the first two games and in that Rockets offense it’s safe to say he should be in line for more of the same today.  Against a Thunder team that is facing an all but must-win spot game, I expect it to stay close allowing Gordon his usual minutes and usage.

With all the pricing starting to even out now that the playoffs are here, one guy I still feel is a bit underpriced is Andre Iguodala ($3,700).  He played 28 minutes in the last game for the Heat and it looks like he’s carved himself out a solid spot in the rotation.  Iggy doesn’t offer a ridiculous ceiling, but with it being so difficult to find true value in the playoffs I like Iggy today.

Power Forward

My favorite play of the day at any position is Anthony Davis ($10,200).  Davis is coming off a game where he went for 55.3 fantasy points in just 29 minutes.  He would have likely gone for 65+ had the Lakers not blown out the Trailblazers.  I’m expecting a closer game once again tonight, we know no one on the Blazers can handle AD, so I’ll be locking him into my lineups today.

When talking about underpriced value on today’s slate Danuel House ($4,700) is a guy that you can target.  Coming off 38 minutes and a 36.3 DKFP performance in their last contest, House didn’t see any change in price.  As fishy as that seems, I’m going back to House today as he’s a great option at his current price.

Center

At Center today I have my sights on Steven Adams ($5,900).  After his game one performance, we saw a lot of people flock to him in game two.  He didn’t play terrible in that game but didn’t perform the way that those who picked him had hoped for. We saw already that no one on the Rockets can handle Adams, and I think his ownership numbers might drop a little bit compared to the last game. Anytime I can get a player at lower ownership than I think they deserve I jump all over it, and that’s the case today with Steven Adams.

I also don’t hate the idea of plugging in Brook Lopez ($5,300) at center either.
