Welcome to the Team Rise or Fall NFL Week 11 cash picks for FanDuel. I’m here to hand out a few building blocks for your cash game plays this weekend. As always, with “cash games” (50/50s, Double-Ups, Head to Head) we’re not necessarily looking to take 1st place. We need to beat 40-50% of the field so we’re looking for players with high floors (Touches and targets) more than taking a chance on a guy we have a feeling about.
I need to do a little housekeeping before moving forward. The NBA season is right around the corner so it’s a great time to sign up if you’re not a Team Rise or Fall member. You can check out our sample NBA Study Hub to get an idea of what we’ll be providing on a daily basis.
Let’s get to Week 11!
We’re looking at a wild weekend for the quarterback position. Kyler Murray, Russell Wilson, Pat Mahomes, and Tom Brady all play outside of the main slate, and Josh Allen has a bye week. Hello Lamar Jackson! The Baltimore Ravens face the Tennessee Titans’ 28th ranked defense against the quarterback position. Lamar ranks as the second-highest value in the Team Rise or Fall NFL Study Hub and he’s averaging 19.3 fantasy points per game over his last three games.
Jameis and the New Orleans Saints face off against the league’s worst defense against the quarterback position in the Atlanta Falcons. Jameis is likely who he is at this point which means a few touchdowns and a few, possibly back-breaking, interceptions. Winston ranks as the 5th best value in our NFL Study Hub and plays in a game with a 50.5 implied total. Throw some Ws on the grill because Jameis is in a spot to eat.
NOTE – We’re not sure if Winston is going to be the starter or not. We heard he had not gotten any snaps with the 1st team in practice, earlier this week. Then we heard Taysom Hill would start at QB, and then we heard Sean Payton would not confirm that Taysom Hill would start. If Winston starts, he’s cheap enough, only $5.9k on DK, he should be able to pay off that price tag vs a bad Falcons Defense. Obviously, if Winston is not the starter we’ll have to pivot. If that’s the case, I like Carson Wenz vs the Browns at only $5.7k. The Browns will be without their All Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett. The Browns have given up an average of 19.51 DK points to QBs and 27.65 DK points to WR’s this year.
If you’re the type of person that isn’t afraid to spend up at running back then Dalvin Cook (10.5k) is a very easy choice. He’s averaging 33 fantasy points per game over his last three games, and he rolled out a bad performance last week. That puts him in a great spot to bounce back versus the Dallas Cowboys’ 20th ranked defense against the run. Our NFL Study Hub shows Cook is averaging 30 touches per game over his last three games. That’s the volume we’re looking for from a cash game back.
Can I interest you in a player projected for 19 touches in our NFL Study Hub while taking on a defense that ranks 26th against running backs? Yes, I can. Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said that Ballage will be the primary back this weekend against the New York Jets. Maybe it’s coach speak but I’m willing to take that chance on a player with a 5.8k price.
The Washington Football Team’s standout wideout keeps churning out nice performances. Our NFL Study Hub shows McLaurin is the 9th best value, projected for nine targets, and has averaged 17.7 fantasy points per game over his last three games. Washington squares off against the Cincinnati Bengals and their 31st ranked defense against wide receivers. Alex Smith might not go ham like he did last week but, it won’t be because of Cincy stopping him. No matter how well Smith plays he’ll definitely pepper his top option with targets.
JuJu Smith-Schuster/Diontae Johnson
I’m not saying play both of the Pittsburgh Steelers receivers. It’s just that you could practically flip a coin to decide between the two. Smith-Schuster is priced at 6.5k while Johnson is 6.4k. JuJu is projected for 11 targets in our NFL Study Hub compared to Diontae’s 10 targets. Over their last four games, JuJu is averaging 14.9 fantasy points per game while Diontae comes in at 14.3 fantasy points per game. The Steelers take on the Jacksonville Jaguars and the NFL’s 25th ranked defense against wide receivers so the potential is there for either guy or both guys to have a great day.
Hurst is the 2nd best value at tight end in the Team Rise or Fall NFL Study Hub. He and the Atlanta Falcons take on the New Orleans Saints, a team that ranks 17th against the tight end position. Hayden costs 5.5k this week while being projected for the most targets at the tight end position, in a game being played in a dome. Sounds like a nice Sunday afternoon for Hayden.
Over the last four weeks, the top-scoring tight ends on Sunday’s slate are TJ Hockenson (9.8 fantasy points per game), Hayden Hurst (9.1 fantasy points per game), Logan Thomas (9 fantasy points per game), and Eric Ebron (8.8 fantasy points per game). Thomas is the least expensive of the group at 5.2k and takes on a Bengals defense that ranks 29th against the tight end position. The tight end position is a minefield whenever Travis Kelce or George Kittle isn’t available so let’s watch our step with one of the safer plays on the board.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Pittsburgh Steelers will PROBABLY be the highest owned defense on the slate so let’s pivot to the Chargers. Los Angeles takes on the NFL’s 30th ranked offense in the New York Jets and comes in as the top value at defense in the Team Rise or Fall NFL Study Hub. We’re not looking for a shutout from our defense. We just need pressure which leads to sacks and interceptions, and so far the Jets have allowed the 6th most sacks in the NFL.
I’m sticking with the idea that we want to attack accident-prone offenses/quarterbacks by going with the Browns against the Philadelphia Eagles. Defenses have sacked Wentz 35 times and he’s thrown 12 interceptions, on top of fumbling nine times with four turnovers. All of that in just nine games! Let’s go Dawg Pound.
Good luck to everyone this weekend. Let’s get this money!
