Top 5 MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks

DraftKings MLB DFS Target – Daniel Ponce de Leon, P, STL vs MIL, O/U 8.5

Ponce de Leon is the highest rated pitcher in the Team Rise or Fall MLB Study Hub for DraftKings. His 26.8 K% is second only to Adrian Morejon. A solid outing backed up by a win give Ponce de Leon a chance to drop a tournament winning score.

DraftKings MLB DFS Target – Cleveland Indians Stack, CLE vs DET, O/U 8.5

Cleveland is going streaking! A three-game win streak that is.

The Indians are starting six lefties against right-hander Jose Urena and the Tigers. The typical 1-5 stack is fine but I’m not too high on lead-off man Andres Giminez today. And I do kind of like the ninth hitting Austin Hedges in this spot.

No matter how you stack it, this will be a pretty popular group, especially with rain threatening LAA-TOR and MIA-NYM.

FanDuel MLB DFS Target – Logan Allen, P, CLE vs DET, O/U 8.5

Allen carries the second highest rating in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. There are a few different reasons why I like him today. He’s a groundball pitcher (48.8% groundballs) and the Tigers are a groundball hitting team.

On top of that, Cleveland has won three straight games and I like to ride the hot team. Allen doesn’t strike out a lot of batters so we’re looking for run/hits/walks suppression and a win.

FanDuel MLB DFS Target – New York Yankees Stack, NYY @ TAM, O/U 9.8

The Yankees are losers.. of three straight games coming into today’s action. I ordinarily like to ride against teams on losing streaks of three or more games but there’s always an exception to the rule. I’m looking for the Yanks to break their losing streak today in a major way.

I don’t have any stack preferences and I do think the lower third of the order is in play today.

MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – San Diego Padres Stack, SD @ TEX, O/U 9.5

The Padres have an explosive offense on paper but it’s been their pitching that’s carried them so far this season. San Diego has scored 37 runs this season and have a +14 run differential. They’re averaging four runs per game while allowing 2.6 runs per game.

I think the bats get hot today in Texas and the Padres deliver an offensive performance that we’ve been waiting on.

MLB DFS Core Builds (Cash and GPP)

The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member identifies the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.

MLB Strategy Notebook

The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!

MLB DFS Picks and Pools (GPP Priority Picks)

The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.

MLB Stacks for DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft

The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
