MLB DFS has a 10-game main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel, and a 12-game slate on SuperDraft today.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
We’re going right back to the well with Woodruff against the Cubs. In his last start against these same Cubs, he went seven strong innings, fanned eight, and allowed only one hit. Woodruff carries a nice 29.2% K-rate while limiting his BB-rate to 6.4%. I love his price on DraftKings today at only $7,500. This will give you the flexibility to pay up for another stud or load up on bats.
The Astros come in as the highest-projected stack in the MLB Study Hub. Detroit pitcher Matthew Boyd isn’t a high strikeout pitcher and gives up the flyball. In reviewing the MLB Study Hub we can see he actually gives up the highest percentage of flyballs of all the pitchers on the slate (46.5%). I’m looking specifically at the Astros right-handed batters in this spot.
Trevor Bauer is my preferred pitcher on FanDuel tonight. He’s already faced this Rockies team in Coors and had a gem of a game going before he got rocked in the 7th inning. He still managed 10 strikeouts in that game. He does carry an impressive 30.1% K-rate into tonight’s game and we know how important strikeouts are with FanDuel’s scoring system. You’re paying a premium for his $11,000 salary but the floor and upside combination is nearly unmatched.
The Angels are second-ranked stack in the MLB Study Hub tonight. They put up 10 runs last night and seem to be seeing the ball very well making great contact. They face Royals pitcher Dan Duffy who is a decent pitcher in his own right but doesn’t have the most electric stuff. Duffy possesses a pedestrian 21% K-rate and isn’t someone I’m shying away from.
MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – Los Angeles Dodgers Stack, LAD vs COL, O/U 9
The Dodgers don’t rank highly on either the DraftKings of FanDuel MLB Study Hubs, this is more of a gut call. We know the Dodgers can put up runs in bunches. I’m looking at Dodger bats from either side of the plate, the Rockies starter Antonio Sanzetela has given up nearly an equal amount of long balls to right and left-handed batters. Remember, zig when others zag to get you that low ownership needed to takedown tournaments.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member identifies the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
