MLB DFS has a five-game main slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft today.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Kremer comes into today’s action as the third highest rated pitcher in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. He has a very attractive 26.5 K%, but he also has a high 14.5 BB%. I’m hoping that the somewhat free swinging Rangers are too anxious to take walks and are hacking and missing.
The Pirates are the second ranked stack on the main slate in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. We’re projecting them to be the 6th highest owned team on the slate tonight. I’m always going to love a situation where we get a highly projected stack with low ownership.
The Brewers are starting lefty Brett Anderson and the Pirates are projected to counter with seven right-handed batters to start the game. I like any combination of the 1-6 hitters for Pittsburgh.
Darvish is the second highest rated pitcher and carries the most ownership in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. Clayton Kershaw is the starting pitcher for the Dodgers tonight and Vegas is predicting a duel between the two hurlers.
Darvish has a higher K% than Kershaw, 30.7 against 25.7, but Kershaw has the lower BB% at 4.9 compared to Yu’s 7.5. I think Darvish is able to slow down the Dodgers offense more than Kershaw can slow down the Padres. A lot of people will be thinking that as well as evidenced by Darvish’s ownership projection.
I hate when this happens. You would think that I’d love to write about the same team two times because it means less work but nope. I’d rather give you all a few different options to go with on a slate. The problem is the Pirates look great on both sites.
Pittsburgh is the second highest rated stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel, and they’re projected to be the 10th highest owned. Again, I love a situation where we can roster a team that has potential to go off while most of our competition won’t be using them. All you have to do is figure out which four players to stack out of the Pirates’ top six hitters.
MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – Houston Astros Stack, HOU @ SEA, O/U 8.5
The Astros are the 3rd highest ranked stack on DraftKings and the 5th highest ranked stack on FanDuel in our MLB DFS Study Hub. We’re projecting Houston to be the 4th highest owned stack on DK and the 5th highest owned stack on FD.
It’s not all roses when it comes to Houston. They’ve lost their last six games and they’re facing a team that’s won it’s last three games.
An old school baseball betting technique is betting the streaks. When a team has either won three in a row, or lost three in a row, you bet on them to keep doing the same thing. Applying that to tonight we should be looking for Seattle to win. Well, streaks don’t last forever so I’m looking for Houston to bust out tonight.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member identifies the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
