MLB DFS has a monster 13-game main slate on DraftKings, 8 games on FanDuel and SuperDraft today.
These are the Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
We head to the great state of Ohio and hope Luis Castillo can regain his form from last season. Castillo hasn’t looked like the ace he was last season, but I’m willing to buy low in this spot. He started the year at $9,200 on DraftKings and has fallen all the way down to $6,600. We know Great American Ball Park is a hitters park but I love the idea of buying low on Castillo as an SP2 on DraftKings. He is the highest-rated pitcher in the MLB Study Hub a solid 27% K-Rate.
We haven’t had too many Coors slates but tonight is one of them and I’m all about the Astros tonight. Jon Gray is a decent pitcher at Coors but gives up power to both sides of the plate. He does carry a 27-13 win/loss record at home while giving up 43 home runs in 63 games. Gray gives up more power to left-handed bats, so that’s where I want to look in the Astros lineup.
On FanDuel where we can only roster one pitcher, I’m looking at Corbin Burnes. The kid has electric stuff and is looking great this early in the season. He carries a stupid 30.8% K-Rate and a measly 8.8% BB-rate. The main concern, just like Brandon Woodruff last night, is he going to get run support to get the win bonus. The Padres were held in check last night scoring only one run. Can the Burnes stifle the Padres again tonight? I think so.
I’m going back to the well and Angels tonight. Last night was the definition of variance as the best player on baseball, Mike Trout, went 0-fer and didn’t score any fantasy points. The matchup was great and I like the matchup again tonight. Texas pitcher Jordan Lyles carries one of the highest Iso’s allowed of any pitcher on the slate. The Angels carry the 4th highest Vegas implied total. I’ll have exposure tonight.
MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – New York Yankees, NYY vs ATL, O/U 8.5
The Bronx Bombers can’t stay cold all season long right? The MLB Study Hub has them as the second-best stack on FanDuel and the middle of the pack on DraftKings. As per the notes in CGs’ article this morning Braves pitcher Charlie Morton is elite against right-handed batters (Stanton and Judge) but can give up contact to left-handed batters (Hicks, Gardener, and Odor).
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member identifies the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
