MLB DFS has a five-game main slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft today. The main slate begins at 7:05 PM EST/4:05 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
This is a pick against the Marlins more than it is a pick for Aaron Sanchez (7.1k). The Marlins travel to Oracle Park to face the Giants in a pitcher’s park. Sanchez has scored 13.65 and 10.25 DraftKings points in two starts this season, but I’m looking for him to break the 20 point mark tonight as he holds Miami in check.
The Cubs rank as the second best stack while being projected as the seventh most owned stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. I say this all the time so why stop now? I love a team that ranks really high in our Study Hub and that’s projected to be low owned.
Chicago takes on lefty Joey Lucchesi and are expected to start five right-handed batters and three left-handed batters. Two of Chicago’s left-handed hitters (Joc Pederson and Jason Heyward) are bad against left-handed pitching. It’s baseball so anything can happen but I’ll have less of those two in my five-man stacks.
Cobb has pitched really well to start the season. He scored 34 FanDuel points in a start against the Chicago White Sox, and he put up 44 FD points at Kansas City in his last start. Today he draws a matchup against the Houston Astros who have lost three in a row and nine of their last 10.
Cobb comes in priced at 8.7K, the second most expensive pitcher behind Walker Buehler’s 9.8K. I do prefer pitchers pitching at home but I think Cobb gets the job done for us tonight.
It’s like déjà vu but slightly different so not actually déjà vu but you’ll get what I mean in a second.
The Giants rank as the second best stack while being projected as the fifth most owned stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. I say this all the time so why stop now? I love a team that ranks really high in our Study Hub and that’s projected to be low owned.
San Francisco is expected to have six righties and two lefties in their lineup today. The left-handed Mike Yastrzemski is projected to bat second while fellow lefty Brandon Crawford is projected to bat eighth. Crawford handles left-handed pitching better than Yaz but he does have the dreaded red Q next to his name. If Crawford plays I can see some value tonight in 4-5-6-8 or 8-1-3-4 stack.
MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – New York Mets Stack, NYM @ CHC, O/U 9.5
The Mets rank as the top stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings and FanDuel. We’re projecting the Mets stack to be the highest owned stack on DK, and the second highest owned stack on FD.
I pretty much like everyone in the Mets lineup today. J.D. Davis is projected to bat 7th but I kind of like him today. Don’t be afraid to expand your stacks outside of the first five or six batters. I’m not that high on James McCann today although if he gets matched up with a lefty out of the bullpen (You never know) he could send one deep.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member identifies the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
