MLB DFS has a 14-game main slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft. The main slate begins at 7:05 PM EST/4:05 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Cole is the highest rated pitcher in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. He’s packing a salary of 10.5K, but that’s not too much of a worry because we can always find a cheap bat or two.
Cole is striking out a whopping 36.6% of the batters he faces. He’s only walking 6.8% of the hitters he faces. In other words he’s a stud. Meanwhile the Tigers have lost two straight games, are tied for fewest wins in MLB with nine, and have lost the most games in the league (18).
At a quick glance you’re probably thinking “Eags, how can you possibly like the Nationals today against Pablo Lopez with an implied run total of 3.8?” And you’d be correct. But Washington rates as the third best stack, and the 16th highest owned stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. I believe that’s what the kids call leverage.
I will say that we need to keep an eye on the weather in this game. There are currently 20 mph winds blowing sideways. If those winds start heading out of the ballpark that’s great. If the winds start heading towards home plate please disregard everything I’ve written here.
Heaney is the top rated pitcher in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. He’s sporting a 25.6% strikeout rate and a 6.5% base on balls rate. So he’s striking guys out and not handing out many free passes to first base. The biggest drawback I see for Heaney is that Seattle can go heavy with right-handed hitters so every at-bat could be a battle.
The Mets are the fourth ranked offense, and projected to be the 11th highest owned team in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. I’m always a sucker for a highly ranked offense at lower ownership. Make that team a road team and I turn into the hearts for eyes emoji.
New York faces Chase Anderson and I think it’s a favorable matchup. Anderson strikes out about 20% of the batters he faces and walks 8% of the hitters he sees. I’m predicting a 7+ run day for the Mets offense.
MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – New York Yankees Stack, NYY vs DET, O/U 7.5
The Yankees are the highest rated offense in our MLB DFS Study Hubs for DraftKings and FanDuel. They’re projected to be the ninth highest owned stack on DK and the fourth highest owned stack on FD. That’s always an attractive proposition when there’s a highly ranked stack that most daily fantasy players are taking a pass on for the slate.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member identifies the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
