MLB DFS has a six-game main slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft. The main slate begins at 7:05 PM EST/4:05 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Javier grades out as the third highest rated pitcher in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. DK loves him today too as his salary is 10K there today.
Javier has a 25.2% strikeout rate and he walks about 8% of the batters he faces. Houston takes on a Texas squad that’s lost it’s last two games after a five of six win streak. Baseball is a fickle beast. I’m looking for Texas to continue slumping.
Cleveland ranks as the top rated stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings while being projected to be the 5th highest owned stack. They can also serve as your late night hammer stack because they’re playing the Mariners in the last game on the slate.
Cleveland has won three straight ballgames while Seattle has lost four straight. A couple of trends I love to target (Bet on teams with a 3+ win streak until they lose. Bet against teams on a 3+ losing streak until they win.) are when a team has either won three in a row or lost three in a row. This game features both. Let’s go Cleveland.
Taillon is the top rated pitcher in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. He’s 1-2 on the season with a 5.02 ERA. I know these are not attractive numbers.
The somewhat good news for Taillon is that he strikes out about 22% of the hitters he faces while walking only 6%. He’s not going to load up the bases with free passes and allow for massive innings from his opponents.
Oakland starts today with a two-game win streak and the Red Sox start with a three-game losing streak. I’m looking for Boston’s streak to get pushed to four games.
Oakland is the 3rd ranked stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. We’re also projecting them to be the 4th highest owned stack on the slate. Top three stack potential with everyone’s focus on other teams? You can sign me up for that everyday.
MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – Cincinnati Reds, CIN @ COL, O/U 11
Is this a safe space? Can I be honest with everyone reading this? Ok, cool. I hate games in Colorado. I feel like they ruin baseball slates. The hate has softened some over the years because I used to completely fade a slate if a game in Colorado was on the schedule.
I don’t like what the altitude does to the game, strictly from a fantasy standpoint. A football or basketball team being targeted because they have a bad defense isn’t the same as a slate being tilted because of where the game is played. Imagine if you had to play the teams whenever they played at Staples Center because the ventilation system in the arena somehow flowed to the baskets and shots went in more than any other stadium?
With that said, I have to like the Reds stack tonight. Cincy is 6th in MLB for total runs scored. An explosive offense playing at a cartoon stadium kind of forces our hand today. This will be the most popular stack on the slate so be sure to get creative with your mini-stacks and one-offs.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
