MLB DFS has a 13-game main slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft. The main slate begins at 7:05 PM EST/4:05 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Musgrove comes in today as the highest rated player in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. He comes in above Clayton Kershaw by seven points in our system.
Joe doesn’t have the highest strike out rate on the slate, but he doesn’t walk many people (5.7%) and he serves up a lot of groundballs (45.2%). Add that to the fact that Vegas is expecting a low scoring game and Musgrove looks like the way to go.
The Nationals have lost seven of their last nine games. They’ve averaged six runs per game in their last six wins. They’ve averaged just over two runs in their last seven losses. I write all of that to say if you think the Nationals are going to lose then don’t stack them. I think they win their second consecutive game and take advantage of playing in a hitter friendly ballpark.
I recommended Jameson Taillon in this space yesterday and well, that didn’t go as planned. He had nine strikeouts (that’s great) and also got lit up for six hits and four earned runs (that’s not great). Today I’m rocking with Joe Musgrove on both sites.
Musgrove is the highest rated player in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel, and by an even wider margin than he had in our DK MLB DFS Study Hub. We love Musgrove. Vegas loves a low scoring game. It’s Joe Musgrove night!
I’m pretty sure Boston is the team I’ve recommended the most in my MLB articles. Maybe I have some sort of bias (I don’t care about Boston teams at all) or maybe their numbers pop in the categories I consider important for DFS. Either way, I’m back on them tonight.
The Red Sox are 4th in MLB in run differential at +36 (The WHITE SOX are first and 21 runs ahead of second place. Just throwing that out there). Boston has scored double digit runs in three of their last 10 games, and have two more games of 5+ runs. I’m looking for tonight to be a big scoring night so 5+ runs and hopefully several home runs.
MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – Toronto Blue Jays, TOR vs PHI, O/U 10.5
The Blue Jays are the highest rated stack in our MLB DFS Study Hubs for DraftKings and FanDuel. No surprise there as we’re also projecting them to be the highest owned stack on the slates. Vegas is projecting a slugfest so no reason for me to doubt that. As always, try to get unique in your stacks (Maybe a lefty that’s batting lower in the order), and try to get unique with your mini stacks and/or one offs.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
