MLB DFS has a five-game slate on DraftKings and SuperDraft, and a four-game slate on FanDuel. The main slate begins at 7:15 PM EST/4:15 PM PST. The DraftKings and SuperDraft slates have the Brewers-Nationals game which is going to be a seven inning game today.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Urias comes into today’s action with a 24.3% strikeout rate. He walks 8% of the batters he faces so he’s going to make you earn your way on base. I’m expecting Urias to hold their hated division rivals in check today.
The Mariners are the 3rd best stack while being projected to be the 5th highest owned stack in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. There are a lot of factors that have me on Seattle today. We get a high upside stack that the field is overlooking AND the Rangers have lost four straight games. The only negative is Rangers pitcher Mike Foltynewicz has pitched pretty well this season.
I wrote up Anderson in this space yesterday because he’s the highest rated pitcher in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. He has a 29.7% strikeout rate and a 10.1% base on balls rate. All of the information was for naught as the game was rained out.
Well, the weather in New York currently has a 68% chance of precipitation. I’m seeing “light rain” as a projection. I like Anderson a lot but keep an eye on the weather before locking him in tonight.
Before I breakdown why I’m going with a chalky stack I gotta mention that my username “EagSixCards” is just short for three of my favorite professional teams, the Philadelphia Eagles, The Philadelphia 76ers, and the St. Louis Cardinals. It’s come up quite a bit lately in various spaces. It has nothing to do with playing cards or anything like that.
Now, back to our regularly scheduled content. Going with the Cardinals today has nothing to do with me being a fan of the team. Our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel rates the Cardinals as the best stack today. We’re also projecting them to be the highest owned stack so find you a low owned mini stack to mix with your four Cardinals.
MLB DFS Picks Top Stack – Seattle Mariners, SEA vs TEX, O/U 8.5
The Mariners are the 3rd rated stack in our DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS Study Hubs. They’re also projected to be the 5th highest owned stack on both sites. Since we’re looking at a smaller slate today I’ll be going with 5-3 stacks on DK and 4-3 stacks on FD. On larger slates I’ll run 5-2 and 4-2 respectively, but since there’s fewer teams I’m aiming for more correlation in my lineups.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
