MLB DFS has a 13-game main slate on DraftKings, and FanDuel. The main slate begins at 7:05 PM EST/4:05 PM PST on DraftKings and FanDuel.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Jacob deGrom is the highest-rated, highest-projected, and expected to be highest-owned pitcher according to the Team Rise or Fall MLB Study Hub. He comes into tonight’s game with an insane 32.9% strikeout rate against a lowly 5.7% walk rate.
The big knock (pun intended) against deGrom is that the Mets haven’t been able to get him run support. If you’re going to pay over $11k for your pitcher he better cross all the boxes – strikeouts, quality start, and wins. Weather may be a factor in this game so keep an eye out for new later in the day.
The Giants don’t grade out as well as they did yesterday in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. They’re facing the Rockies in Coors where we know runs are scored in bunches, however, it will be the second half of a double-header. The seven inning game may have people fading, but I think 7 innings in Coors is just as compelling as 9 innings elsewhere.
While I like all of the Giants’ bats today, I’ll be trying to squeeze in the lefties of the order – Belt, Dickerson, and Tachman.
I’m only putting Nola in here for the sake of not being repetitive and writing up deGrom all over again. deGrom is the cream of the pitching crop tonight but should the Mets game be delayed/postponed I’ll look at Nola as a nice secondary option.
Nola strikes out 27.8% of the hitters he faces while giving up walks 8.2% of the time.
The Sox are the highest rated stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel, but the second highest owned stack on the slate. They’re also playing in a hitter friendly confines of Fenway Park. They’ll have their hands full today with Michael Fulmer who has pitched surprisingly well this season.
The Tigers lefty Fuller has a low strikeout rate against righties and gives up power to that side of the plate.
MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – San Diego Padres, SDP vs PIT, O/U 8.5
I can’t imagine the Padres are going to garner a ton of ownership after last night’s disappointment. Tonight, they’ll be in the same spot facing gas can Mitch Keller.
Keller gives up contact and power to both sides of the plate so stack up the Fathers in confidence.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
