MLB DFS has an eleven-game main slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft. The main slate begins at 1:05 PM EST/10:05 AM PST.
**Weather Note: Cin @ Cle postponed. It is now a 10-game slate**
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Yesterday I had Lance Lynn in this spot and today we’re targeting KC bats with Lucas Giolito. The White Sox hurler comes into today’s action as the second highest rated pitcher on the slate. Jacob deGrom is on the slate today so I’ll let you guess who the highest rated pitcher is.
Giolito has a 25.5% strikeout rate and walks about 10% of the batters he faces. The Royals have lost seven straight games. I’m looking for a dominant performance from Giolito as he hands KC their eighth consecutive loss.
The Nationals rank as the second best stack, and the fourth highest owned stack in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for Draftkings. They’re in a game with a projected nine run total and the wind blowing out to left field. That sounds like a combination we can take advantage of for fantasy purposes.
Maeda takes the mound for the Twins a day after they dropped a game to the awful Tigers. I’m expecting Minnesota to get back in the win column after a solid performance from Maeda.
Maeda has a 28.6% strikeout rate and a 7.4% base on balls rate. The Tigers strikeout more than any team in baseball at 29.6%. Seems like a perfect storm for Kenta to have a great game. And speaking of storms, keep your eyes on the weather news for this game. It’s looking wet in Detroit.
The Mariners lost to the Rangers 9-8 yesterday. Today I’m looking for a similar scoring output as they pick up the win against Texas. Seattle is rolling out a balanced lineup with five right-handers and four left-handers. Right-hander Dane Dunning is on the bump for the Rangers today so I do like the lefties a little more.
MLB DFS Lineup Winning Pick – Boston Red Sox, BOS @ BAL, O/U 9
The Red Sox are averaging nine runs per game over their last five games. They’ve gone 4-1 over that stretch. If we take a larger look we Boston is averaging six runs per game over their last 10 games. I’ve liked the Boston hitters a lot in this space and I’m back on them today. Hopefully hot bats lead to hot cash in our accounts.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
