Top 5 MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks

DraftKings MLB DFS Picks (Pitcher) – Trevor Rogers, MIA vs COL, O/U 7.5

Rogers is the 2nd highest rated pitcher in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. He’s facing a Colorado team that’s an awful 5-23 on the road, although the Rockies did win yesterday.

Rogers has a 30% strikeout rate and a 10% base on balls rate. Those numbers should be good enough to suppress the Rockies offense.

DraftKings MLB DFS Picks (Stack) – Houston Astros, HOU @ BOS, O/U 9

We’re working with a six-game slate that COULD become a five-game slate if the San Francisco-Washington game gets called off. The Astros rank as the 3rd best stack and the 3rd highest owned stack. They’ve won three straight games, and they averaged seven runs per game in that stretch. I like Houston to fall in line with that seven run average tonight.

FanDuel MLB DFS Picks (Pitcher) – Max Scherzer, WAS vs SF, O/U 7.5

Scherzer is the highest rated pitcher in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. There is a possibility of rain so keep an eye on the weather for this game. If this game is postponed I would recommend Trevor Rogers or Frankie Montas.

Scherzer’s numbers are insane: a 34.3% strikeout rate and a 5.8% base on balls rate. If this game plays I expect Max to put up some big fantasy numbers.

FanDuel MLB DFS Picks (Stack) – Chicago White Sox, CWS vs TOR O/U 9

The White Sox and Blue Jays are projected for a shootout. Chicago has a +86 run differential and the Blue Jays have a +35 run differential. Both of these teams can mash but I’m looking for the White Sox to put up the big numbers tonight.

MLB DFS Picks Top Stack – Minnesota Twins, MIN vs NYY, O/U 11

The Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hubs rank the Twins as the 2nd best stack on DraftKings and FanDuel. We’re also projecting Minny to be the 2nd highest owned stack on the slate. As I’ve discussed previously it’s ok to use the highly owned stack as long as you offset that by A) Using less popular players within the stack or B) Getting unique with your mini stacks and one off players.

An 11-run total means Vegas expects these teams to slug it out tonight. The Yankees have the higher implied run total and they’re expected to be the highest owned team on the slate. I like being able to get a piece of this game while using the less popular team.
