MLB DFS has an 13-game main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel, and a 12-game slate on SuperDraft. The main slate begins at 7:05 PM EST/4:05 PM PST on DraftKings and FanDuel, and 7:10/4:10 PM on SuperDraft.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Morton is the highest rated pitcher in the Team Rise or Fall MLB Study Hub for DraftKings. Morton has a 29.2% strikeout rate and takes on a Marlins team that’s tied for the 3rd highest team strikeout rate in MLB. I like the looks of that. Miami had an 11-run outburst yesterday and I don’t see them going off two days in a row.
Toronto comes into tonight’s action as the 4th highest rated offense in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. We’re projecting them to be the 9th highest owned team on the slate. There is a downside here: The Blue Jays haven’t been scoring runs lately. They’re averaging just 3.9 runs over their last 10 games, and 3.6 runs over their last 5 games. Are they due? I don’t know about that but playing at Fenway tends to help an offense out.
Kershaw is the 2nd highest rated pitcher in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. The Texas Rangers have the 8th highest strikeout rate in MLB so that will go great with Kershaw’s 25.7% strikeout rate. Clayton isn’t as dominant as he was a few years ago but a 4.9% base on balls rate is outstanding. I’m looking for Kershaw to look like the Kershaw of old tonight as he handcuffs the Rangers.
I liked the White Sox yesterday and I like them again today although for slightly different reasons. Our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel rates the White Sox as the 2nd best stack on the slate. We’re projecting them to be the 7th highest owned stack. On top of being a highly rated stack with low ownership, Chicago is a road favorite. That means we’re guaranteed nine innings of plate appearances from a team that the Study Hub loves. I’ll take that every day.
MLB DFS Picks Top Stack – Cleveland Indians, CLE vs SEA, O/U 9
Cleveland has the 2nd highest implied run total on the slate at 5.1. Our MLB DFS Study Hubs for DraftKings and FanDuel rank the Cleveland offense 3rd and 1st respectively. We’re projecting Cleveland to be the 4th highest owned offense on DK, and the 2nd highest owned offense on FD. I don’t think there’s any need to worry about ownership since there’s 12-13 games on the slate depending on which site you’re playing today.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
