MLB DFS has a 12-game main slate on FanDuel and DraftKings. The main slate locks at 7:05PM EST / 4:05 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Tyler Glasnow is the top play on DraftKings. Lock him in as your SP1, no doubt about it. I want to look at locking in our SP2 here. I’m all about the idea of paying up for Lance Lynn as your SP2 and the MLB Study Hub agrees. He’s the second highest-rated and projected pitcher, behind Glasnow, in the Study Hub. He has a 25.8% strikeout rate and faces a Rays team that strikes out 4th most on the slate. I understand that playing pitchers from the same game caps some upside but SP2 on DraftKings can get ugly fast today.
The Padres are looking like the chalk play of the slate. They are at Coors facing off against Austin Gomber. San Diego rates as the highest projected offense in the MLB Study Hub and they are expected to carry some of the highest ownership on the slate. It also bodes well for them that they are the away team which guarantees that they’ll bat at the top of the 9th inning.
I’m locking Tyler Glasnow as my pitcher on FanDuel. He is far and away the best option according to the MLB DFS Study Hub. Glasnow comes into the game with a 32.4% strikeout rate, the highest on the slate, and a 9.5% walk rate. This game has the lowest implied total on the slate at 7 runs and I believe that there’s a good possibility that it’ll hit the under.
The Giants are the stack I’m eyeballing over on FanDuel. They are projected as the fourth-best stack according to the MLB Study Hub while being the 11th most owned. As we’ve seen over the last few weeks since the “foreign substance” issues have come up we’ve seen an increase in batting statistics. There are a few Giant bats as we can see in the “Batter Trends” tab that has been on fire!
MLB DFS Picks Top Stack – Detroit Tigers, DET @ KC, O/U 9.5
The Tigers are the top-rated stack in the FanDuel and DraftKings MLB Study Hub. I know what you’re thinking – the Tigers?!? I know, I said the same thing. Detroit faces off against the gas can known as Brad Keller. Keller has a 16.8% strikeout rate and 9.1% walk rate. I’m not sure what to think of it other than to trust the projections.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
