MLB DFS has a six-game main slate on FanDuel and DraftKings. The main slate locks at 7:05PM EST / 4:05 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Darvish is the highest-projected pitcher in the MLB Study Hub. This division game carries the lowest implied run total on the slate at seven runs. Yu comes into the game with a 30.7% strikeout rate and a 7.5% walk rate. Darvish also has the lowest hard contact rate on the slate at 31.5%. If you are a BvP believer, you’ll see the heart of the Dodger lineup hasn’t had a whole lot of success against Darvish.
We’re attacking the game with the highest-total on the slate. Baltimore is the third highest rated offense in the MLB Study Hub while having the 6th highest ownership. While they are roughly 20 games under .500 they are still producing offensively. The Orioles will face against Houston starter Jake Ororizzi who hasn’t gone past the 5th inning. Odorizzi gives up power and contact to the both sides of the plate.
Aaron Civale is the option I’m eyeballing over on FanDuel. As we’ve seen the drop off in stud performances since the “Spider-gate” news broke, I’m not sold on spending $10k+ on pitchers. I’d much rather allocate that money to some power bats. Civale fits that bill as he is the highest-rated pitcher in the MLB Study Hub and is one of the best values on the slate at the pitcher position. Civale isn’t a huge strikeout guy at 21.3% but he is a low walk guy at 5.9%.
On FanDuel I want to attack the other side of the highest-total game on the slate. Houston is the top rated and top projected stack in the MLB Study Hub. The last week or so we’ve seen the chalk hit. Houston is expected to be chalk on FanDuel according the MLB study Hub. Houston has the highest implied total on the slate. They’re facing lefty Keegan Akin who has natural splits.
MLB DFS Picks Top Stack – Arizona Diamondbacks, ATL vs BOS, O/U 9.5
The Arizona Diamondbacks are my favorite tournament play of the night. The rank as third best stack in the FanDuel stack tool and fourth best stack on the DraftKings. The Diamondbacks are back at the friendly confines of Chase field where they fare far better than on the road. They don’t look to be chalk today so I will be overexposed in tournaments.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
