MLB DFS has a 14-game main slate on FanDuel and DraftKings. The main slate locks at 7:05PM EST / 4:05 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
You’re going to have the pick of the litter when it comes to studs over on DraftKings – Cole, Giolito, Kershaw, and Peralta. In the Team Rise or Fall twitch streams, we’ve learned to eat chalk at the pitcher position. Where I want to get different is SP2. Ross Stripling is the highest-rated pitcher in the DraftKings MLB Study Hub. He’ll face off against the Marlins who as a team strikeout at a 24.45% clip. Stripling himself carries a 24.6% strikeout rate and a low 5.5% walk rate.
I’m going to reference our Twitch stream here again. In tournaments, we know that we have to get a little different to shoot up the standings. Tonight, the A’s rank as the third-best stack on the night but are way down in ownership as the ninth most owned team. The A’s have a 4.67 implied run total, the sixth most on the slate. They’re facing off against lefty Tyler Hearn is a natural splits guy who gives up more power and contact to right-handed bats.
On FanDuel where we can only roster one pitcher, we want to eat the chalk at the pitcher spot. Gerrit Cole is the cream of the crop on the one-pitcher site. Cole is the highest projected pitcher according to the MLB Study Hub. The Royals have a 21.46% strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers. Cole has a 36.6% strikeout rate coming into tonight with a low 6.8% walk rate.
The Study Hub is really digging the Texas Rangers tonight. The Rangers rank as the 6th best stack on FanDuel while having the 16th most ownership. Texas faces off against the left-handed pitcher Cole Irvin. Irvin isn’t a huge strikeout guy with a strikeout rate of only 17.2%. Irvin is a natural splits pitcher who gives up power and contact to righties and that is where I want to start my stacks but will not shy away from lefty vs lefty matchups.
MLB DFS Picks Top Stack – Oakland Athletics, OAK @ TEX, O/U 9
I’m going all-in on the A’s tonight. They rate highly in the FanDuel and DraftKings Stacks Tabs, first and third respectively on the DFS sites. Their ownership isn’t matching up with their expected production, sixth and ninth respectively on FanDuel and DraftKings. They are more pricey on DraftKings than on FanDuel but by paying down on at the SP2 spot on DraftKings you can get some nice bats in the heart of the Athletics lineup.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
