MLB DFS has an 15-game main slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft. The main slate begins at 7:05 PM EST/4:05 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Snell and the Padres take on a Mets team that is 12-17 on the road this season. Snell has a 32.1% strikeout rate and New York is in the bottom third for batters striking out. Something has to give tonight and I think that will be Snell striking out Mets while allowing minimal base on balls. Snell is the highest rated pitcher in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. He’ll be a great play today.
Yesterday I had the Royals in this space and today we’re going to flip that around and take the road team. The Twins rank as the second best stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. We’re projecting them to be the 7th highest owned stack. That’s always a great combination for DFS purposes.
Scherzer is the second highest rated player in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. He enters tonight’s action with a 34.3% strikeout rate (highest on the slate), and a 5.8% base on balls rate (fourth lowest on the slate). I can see Max easily pitching deep into this game and racking up Ks.
The Yankees take the top spot for best stacks in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. We’re also projecting them to be the 7th highest owned stack on the slate. There are 30 teams (15 games) to choose from today. The worst thing you can do in my opinion is try to stack every team. I think it’s better to focus on a few teams (At most 1/3 of the slate) and go from there. If you land on the right teams, profit. If you land on the wrong teams, there’s always tomorrow.
MLB DFS Picks Top Stack – Oakland As, OAK @ COL, O/U 11
I’ve said this a few times before but I’ll go ahead and say it again: I hate slates with Coors Field in play. It throws everything out of wack and takes some of the fun out of playing MLB DFS. That’s for me.
With that said I am going with the Athletics as the top stack of the day. They can rack up runs at sea level so we know they can get busy at altitude. Oakland is projected for 5.9 runs today, the highest on the slate. My approach would be to use Oakland in my mini stacks/secondary stacks and go with another team as the main stack.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
