MLB DFS has an six-game main slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft. The main slate begins at 7:15 PM EST/4:15 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
I targeted the Mets yesterday with Blake Snell. Today I’m going to target them with Joe Musgrove. He’s the highest rated pitcher on the slate in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. He has a 22.8% strikeout rate and a 5.7% base on balls rate. I wish the SO rate was a little higher but I don’t think it will matter much against a New York team that’s now 12-18 on the road.
The Yankees rank as the 2nd best stack while being projected to be the 4th highest owned stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. That’s always a combination I’m looking for and I’ll ride with it all season. It doesn’t matter if a stack doesn’t come through for me one day. I’m always going to pursue potential with low ownership over potential that every other contestant is using as well. There is a negative with this stack: The Yankees offense has been cold lately, averaging 2.7 runs over their last six games. We can say they’re due or we can say stay away because they’re ice cold. I’m going with due.
I like Musgrove on both sites today. He’s the highest rated pitcher in our MLB DFS Study Hubs for DraftKings and FanDuel. His rating is 25 points higher than the second rated pitcher on FanDuel. I don’t have a lot more to add here that I didn’t already say in the DraftKings pitcher section above.
The Giants grade as the 4th best stack today in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. There are only six games on the slate so the Giants are in the top third of teams. On top of that we’re projecting them to be the 5th highest owned team on the slate. San Francisco has the best record in baseball, their tied for 4th in run differential (+70), and they’ve won 2 consecutive games. The Giants are averaging over six runs per game over their last six games. I can see them scoring 6+ tonight.
MLB DFS Picks Top Stack – Boston Red Sox, BOS @ NYY, O/U 9.5
Yesterday I recommended the Oakland As playing in Colorado as the top stack. I mentioned that I preferred to use Oakland in my mini stacks/secondary stacks because they were likely to be very popular. Well, we’re looking at a similar situation with the Red Sox today.
Our MLB DFS Study Hubs for DraftKings and FanDuel project the BoSox to be the 2nd highest owned stack on both sites. I’ll be using the Red Sox bats but I want them in my secondary stacks more than my main stacks. (A Boston main stack will win everything now that I’ve typed this.)
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
