MLB DFS has a 12-game main slate on FanDuel and DraftKings. The main slate locks at 7:05PM EST / 4:05 PM PST.
These are the early morning Top 5 MLB DFS Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings. Be sure to dive into the MLB DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall MLB DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Cole is the highest rated pitcher in the Team Rise or Fall MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. He has a 36.6% strikeout rate and an 6.8% base on balls rate. As you know by know there is tons of rumors flying around MLB in regard to pitchers using foreign substances to help them put better spin on the ball. Now whether or not MLB is actually going to crack down on offenders remains to be seen but the question has to be asked on how it will affect those who are using it and if they’re going to stop – I’m looking at you Gerrit Cole.
The Tigers are the highest rated stack in our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. The Hub is projecting them to be the 4th highest owned stack on a slate with 12 games. The Tigers have a 4.87 implied run total, 6th best on the slate. Mariners starter Chris Flexen and his 11.8% strikeout rate doesn’t scare me at all. Fire up those Tigers stacks with confidence.
Efflin is the highest rated pitcher in our MLB DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. He’s a pivot off of the expected chalk in Gerrit Cole. The Team Rise or Fall Study Hub projects him for 11.5% ownership. Efflin owns a 21.5% strikeout rate and a 6.7% walk rate. It will be a tough match up going against a good Braves lineup, but the leverage on the field will get you going in the right direction in tournaments.
The Yankees have an implied run total of 4.77 runs today. That puts them right around the middle of the pack in this large slate, yet they are projecting as the top stack in the FanDuel MLB DFS Study Hub. On such a large slate ownership is typically pretty spread out, but in this case the Yankees will probably carry some ownership because of the names in the lineup. Twins expected starter Randy Dobnak is a low strikeout, high walk pitcher. The right-handed Dobnak gives up power and contact to lefties and that is where my focus will be in my Yankee stacks.
MLB DFS Picks Top Stack – New York Mets, NYY @ MIN, O/U 9.5
The Mets are the second rated stack for FanDuel and the fifth highest stack for DraftKings in our MLB DFS Study Hub. We’re projecting them to be the fifth highest owned stack on FanDuel and the second highest stack on DraftKings. They’ll face off against former Met Matt Harvey who hasn’t gotten out of the third inning in his last two starts.
The MLB DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our MLB DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member the core players they would build their Cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These MLB DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their MLB DFS Lineups.
The MLB Strategy Notebook gives our staff a place to write notes specific to each slate for members to read regarding strategy for each slate. They will mention which stacks they are targeting, which players make more sense for GPP formats over Cash formats and other lineup building tidbits!
The MLB DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate-winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy baseball roster construction.
The MLB Stacks will display the top stacks of the day using the data from the MLB Study Hub! This will display what teams project the best, which will be higher owned, and a player-by-player breakdown to show which players could be going overlooked.
