Let’s get to the picks!
NBA DFS Picks Notable Vegas Totals
Brooklyn Nets @ Washington Wizards O/U 244
The Nets will be without James Harden, and Kevin Durant (10.1k DraftKings/10.6k FanDuel) has a probable tag. NBA DFS injury news is fantastic!
I’m expecting Durant to play so he and Kyrie Irving (9.3k/9.3k) will put in the majority of the work for BK. Durant has averaged over 50 fantasy points over his last five games while Kai comes in at a 44 fantasy point average.
Joe Harris (5.5k/4.9k) could get a little extra action with Harden sitting out, and Deandre Jordan (5.2k/4.9k) draws a tiny bit of consideration.
The Wizards are led by Bradley Beal (10.2k/11k) and Russell Westbrook (9k/9.6k). Assuming Westbrook plays and/or can keep his emotions in check to avoid an ejection.
The implied game total is sky high so we should give more consideration to second and third tier players in my opinion. For Washington that’s players like Raul Neto (3.7k/4k) and Bruce Brown Jr. (3.8k/4.2k) depending on the day’s news.
NBA DFS Picks Pace Up Spots
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Minnesota Pace Rating: 101.5
Cleveland Pace Rating: 97.2
Game Total: 218.5
Karl-Anthony Towns is out and Naz Reid has a questionable tag. This means Jarred Vanderbilt (5.3k DraftKings/5.7k FanDuel) is in play but more importantly Andre Drummond (8.4k/9k) could absolutely feast tonight. Drumm is coming off a poor sub-35 fantasy point game. I’m expecting him to bounce back in a huge way tonight.
D’Angelo Russell (7.6k/7.5k) is currently listed as questionable but I like him in a game that should see action up and down the court.
Other guys drawing consideration from me include Collin Sexton (6.8k/7.1k), Darius Garland (5.6k/5.2k), Malik Beasley (6.6k/6.8k), and Anthony Edwards (5.3k/4.9k).
NBA DFS Injury News
Probable: Kyle Lowry and Kevin Durant.
Questionable: Joel Embiid, Doug McDermott, Naz Reid, and D’Angelo Russell.
Doubtful: Norman Powell.
Out: Mike Scott, Michael Carter-Williams, OG Anunoby, Patrick McCaw, Iman Shumpert, James Harden, Raul Neto, Matthew Dellavedova, Kevin Love, Juan Hernangomez, Jarrett Culver, and Karl-Anthony Towns.
NBA DFS Picks Early Look
Joel Embiid (9.9k DK/9.9k FD) – Embiid currently has a questionable tag but if he plays he could be in line for another monster night. In Joel’s last 7 games he’s scored less than 50 fantasy points twice. He’s averaging over 60 fantasy points in his last three games against the Indiana Pacers. Monitor the news but if he’s good to go I’m locking him in.
Pascal Siakam (7.6k DK/7.5k FD) – I remember in the beginning of the season a lot of people were asking what’s wrong with Siakam. Rightfully so since he averaged about 35 fantasy points over the first five games of the season. He found a his footing for a bit and then dropped back down. It’s looking like an up and down, game to game, type of season for Pascal. I’m banking on an upswing tonight against the Orlando Magic.
