Top 5 NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks

DraftKings NBA DFS Target – Nikola Jokic, C, DEN @ ATL O/U 231.5

Jokic has been balling all season so there’s no surprise in seeing him leading off the NBA DFS picks for today. He’s averaging 60 fantasy points over his last three games, and he’s averaging 56 fantasy points in his last three games against the Hawks.

The Team Rise or Fall NBA Study Hub lists Joker as the highest rated player on the slate at 113.57. We’re projecting him for 59.42 DraftKings points against Atlanta. Don’t roster him at your own risk, but at the end of the night the joke’s on you.. Ba dum dum.

DraftKings NBA DFS Target – Pascal Siakam, PF/C, TOR vs PHI O/U 223.5

Siakam is the third highest rated player in the Team Rise or Fall ratings section in our NBA Study Hub. He’s an affordable 7.9k on a Toronto team that is suddenly playing much better basketball.

Pascal is averaging 45.8 DK points over his last three games, and tonight is a slight pace up spot against the Sixers. He only scored 34.5 DK points in his last game against Philly, but I’ll repeat: The Raptors are playing much better now.

FanDuel NBA DFS Target – Nikola Jokic, C, DEN @ ATL O/U 231.5

Jokic is the highest rated player in the Team Rise or Fall NBA Study Hub for FanDuel. He’s $700 cheaper than Giannis Antetokounmpo tonight although we’re projecting both players for 57 FD points tonight.

I covered most of this above but let’s do it for FanDuel now. Jokic is averaging 59.7 FD points over his last three games. He’s averaged 56.8 FD points in his last three outings against the Hawks. This is DFS so anything CAN happen but this is a great spot to fire up some Nikola.

FanDuel NBA DFS Target – Julius Randle, PF, NYK vs MIN O/U 216.5

Randle is in the midst of a break out season and deserved All-Star consideration. His last three games have seen him average 43 FD points, and his last three games against the Timberwolves have seen him average 39 FD points.

Randle carries a rating of 103.69 in our NBA Study Hub for FanDuel, good enough for 5th overall on the slate. Point-forward Randle is in a good spot to drop a big fantasy game for us.

NBA DFS Lineup Winning Pick – Nikola Jokic, C, DEN @ ATL O/U 231.5

I feel like I’m cheating by using him but I just feel that strongly about Jokic’s potential tonight. He’s in the MVP conversation with LeBron and Embiid, and has the ability to drop a nuclear game every time he’s on the court.

The only negative I could give about this spot is that the Nuggets and Hawks both play at a pace rating below 100. Other than that the numbers look great for a huge night.

NBA DFS Core Builds (Building Blocks)

The NBA DFS Core Builds are also referred to as our NBA DFS Building Blocks. Each staff member identifies the core players they would build their cash or GPP lineup around for both DraftKings and FanDuel. These NBA DFS Picks are basically the Building Blocks of their NBA DFS Lineups.

NBA DFS GPP Pivots (Slate Breakers)

The NBA DFS GPP Pivots is for those chasing glory in DFS tournaments on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The goal here for our staff is to identify a GPP pivot, often a price point pivot away from a chalky player, that could potentially break the slate and win you a tournament. Have you ever seen the guy that is lower-owned and went nuclear in tournaments and you think to yourself, “I should have pivoted to him?”. Our goal is to identify those GPP Pivots.

NBA DFS Picks Rankings

The NBA DFS Picks Rankings will be a staple to your daily fantasy basketball research. This list of players is compiled by a staff member while they are making a player pool for DraftKings and FanDuel. These players then get ranked in the form of Tiered Rankings, which you often see in Fantasy Basketball or Fantasy Football. These Tiered Rankings will help you identify the value in both NBA DFS Cash Games and NBA DFS GPP’s as it shows you who they value more at each position than other players.

NBA DFS Picks and Pools (Cash Games)

The NBA DFS Picks and Pools for Cash Games is clutch for anybody who wants to play those on either FanDuel or DraftKings. These are identified in the Tiered Rankings and player notes. This small list of players gives you a road map to putting together an NBA DFS Lineup each and every night.

NBA DFS Picks and Pools (GPP Priority Picks)

The NBA DFS Picks and Pools for GPP’s is crucial for Single Entry players. This list of priority picks are players with slate winning upside each night. They aren’t just the top projected players, they are picks that take into consideration the Rise or Fall ownership projection, tournament leverage, and daily fantasy basketball roster construction.

NBA DFS Strategy and Player Notes

In the NBA DFS Picks Rankings, there is a section for strategy and player notes. These are written up in the form of analysis for the player and best use of the player for DFS. In addition to the notes, being a part of the Rise or Fall Discord Chat is a fantastic way to discuss Draftkings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft with both members and staff. Everyone is in there picking each other’s brains all day long and enjoying DFS together.
