Let’s get to the picks!
Utah Jazz @ Atlanta Hawks O/U 227
Trae Young (9.3k DraftKings/10.5k FanDuel) and Rudy Gobert (7.5k/8.5k) are the headliners in this matchup, and Clint Capela (8.7k/8.8k) definitely deserves consideration as well. Young is averaging 49 fantasy points per game over his last five games. Gobert is averaging 42 fantasy points and Capela is averaging 40 fantasy points over that same span.
Other players I’m considering from this game are Mike Conley (6.6k/7k), John Collins (7.3k/6.9k), and Bojan Bogdanovic (5.7k/5.8k).
Golden State Warriors @ Dallas Mavericks
Golden State Pace Rating: 103.2
Dallas Pace Rating: 98.7
Game Total: 228.5
This game features the highest implied total on the slate and a team (The Golden State Warriors) with the highest pace rating on the slate.
Steph Curry (9.8k DraftKings/10.2k FanDuel) is always one of my favorite picks so no surprise there. Luka Doncic (10.9k/11.3k) is another guy that you can count on to perform well most nights.
Things get a little dicey after those two guys. Draymond Green (5.2k/5.8k) has had back to back solid performances once this season. Kelly Oubre Jr. (5.4k/5.3k) can dazzle you or make you want to smash your phone, sometimes in the same game. Tim Hardaway Jr. (5.7k/5.5k) and Josh Richardson (4.9k/4.9k) CAN be good picks, and I do like them more if Kristaps Porzingis (Doubtful) doesn’t play.
Probable: Kevin Huerter, Ben Simmons, John Wall, Anthony Davis, and LeBron James.
Questionable: Trae Young, Derrick Jones, Damian Lillard, and David Nwaba.
Doubtful: Kristaps Porzingis.
Out: De’Andre Hunter, James Wiseman, Nassir Little, Mike Scott, Victor Oladipo, Jonas Valanciunas, Grayson Allen, Gary Harris, and P.J. Dozier.
Steph Curry (9.8k DK/10.2k FD) – Steph can go nuclear on any given night. The matchup with Dallas tonight features the highest implied game total on the slate along with Golden State’s high pace. The Mavericks snapped their losing streak last night, but that doesn’t mean they’re a good team all of a sudden. I’m looking for Curry to capitalize against Luka and the struggling Mavs.
Mike Conley (6.6k DK/7k FD) – Conley and the Utah Jazz travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks. Atlanta is 29th against the point guard position, and the Jazz have been playing really well. I can see a big game for Conley tonight.
