NBA DFS has a nine-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel, and a six-game slate on SuperDraft. These are the early morning Top 5 NBA DFS Picks for DraftKings and Fanduel. Be sure to dive into the NBA DFS Rankings, Cash Picks, and Player Pool or the GPP Picks and Player Pool afterward. And of course, the Rise or Fall NBA DFS Projections, ownerships, player ratings, and data are a good place to start for daily fantasy sports.
Top 5 NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks
DraftKings NBA DFS Target – Russell Westbrook, PG, WAS vs DET O/U 224
Russell Westbrook has to be near the top of the list of players that people don’t like as a basketball player but love as a fantasy player. He’s been an outstanding fantasy player this season even if his play hasn’t helped the Wizards win a ton of games.
Westbrook is averaging 56 DraftKings points over his last three games. He’s capable of a triple double every night he suits up, and last I checked he’s suiting up tonight.
DraftKings NBA DFS Target – Donovan Mitchell, PG/SG, UTA vs MEM O/U 227.5
Donovan Mitchell has kind of quietly been on fire as of late. He’s averaging 52 DK points over his last five games, and 51 DK points over his last three games. His price has crept up to 9k to reflect his recent play. I think he’s worth the price.
Vegas gives this game an implied total of 227.5. The Team Rise or Fall NBA DFS Study hub for DraftKings shows this game as a “pace up” spot for the Jazz. So we’re getting a nice implied total combined with a quicker pace. That sounds like a great situation for Mitchell.
FanDuel NBA DFS Target – Zion Williamson, PF, NO vs DAL O/U 229.5
Zion, Big Z, Mr. Williamson (He needs a solid nickname) comes into tonight’s action averaging 50.8 FanDuel points over his last three games. He’s only averaged 40 FD points over his last three games against the Mavericks but I’m looking for that to change tonight.
His last game against Dallas led to a 49 FD point performance. The Pelicans are an awful team. I’m not letting that influence my thoughts on their players, especially Zion.
FanDuel NBA DFS Target – Karl-Anthony Towns, C, MIN vs HOU O/U 229
“Hey Siri, show me two TERRIBLE basketball teams…” The Wolves and Rockets would get relegated if the NBA used European soccer standards. Injuries, covid-19, and trade demands have put these two teams in a tailspin this season.
The bad seasons doesn’t mean that there aren’t players we should target in this game. Towns is at the top of the list. The Minny big man is averaging 49 FD points over his last three games, 55 FD points over his last three games against Houston, and he scored 58 FD points in his last game against the Rockets. Throw the records out and throw KAT in your lineups.
NBA DFS Lineup Winning Pick – Eric Bledsoe, PG/SG, NO vs DAL O/U 229.5
Bledsoe is averaging an unimpressive 20 fantasy points over his last three games. I like him tonight because he likes playing against the Mavericks for some reason. He’s averaging about 28 fantasy points in his last three games against Dallas. He dropped 39 fantasy points in his last game and I THINK he’s turning his season around.
