One potential concern for Sanders’ fantasy outlook is the Panthers’ uncertain quarterback situation. The Panthers are expected to select a quarterback with the first overall pick in the draft, and it’s unclear who that will be. It should be one of Anthony Richardson, C.J. Stroud, or Bryce Young. However, regardless of who the quarterback is, Sanders should have plenty of opportunities to produce fantasy points.
The Panthers logged 483 rushing attempts in 2022, which ranked in the middle of the pack in the league. Sanders should have a good chance to be the team’s feature back, with D’Onta Foreman leaving in free agency. Sanders has shown the ability to be an effective rusher, with an average career of 5.0 yards per rushing attempt. Sanders also has upside in the passing game but, is not an elite pass-catching option like Austin Ekeler or Christian McCaffrey.Â
