Tonight, with all of the studs on the slate we are going to need value somewhere on both DraftKings and FanDuel. It’s difficult and there is no way to deny that. But it is not impossible. Both power forward and small forward look like two nice areas to pay down tonight. I can already tell you I am paying down at Center as only 3 of them showed up on my Tiered Picks Rankings list and notes today, too.
Lauri Markkanen is a nice option at $6,100 on FanDuel but it’s wild that we can pay for Kristaps Porzingis at just $6,900 on FanDuel. He’s absolutely one of my NBA DFS Building Blocks for FanDuel tonight and I would not be shocked to see him show up in the other NBA DFS Core 4 plays from my fellow coaches.
While Chris Boucher makes the DraftKings Core 4 Plays at just $7,100, he’s a bit priced up to make my core over on FanDuel at $8,100. For me, the decision came down to James Harden or Kevin Durant. I ended up with James Harden at shooting guard because I believe Small Forward is loaded with value between $4,500 – $5,800 and that’s where I’ll need to save money.
And why do I need to save money? Because I am jamming in Luka Doncic into my Core 4 tonight as well. Yes, that’s right. I am paying up for both Harden and Luka and hoping the value options at SF and Center (as well as the two lower-mid tier type priced PF’s) can all support the combined $21,500 I spend on Harden/Luka.

There are a lot of members that like to hand-build based on the DraftKings and FanDuel NBA DFS Core 4 plays from an individual coach. Others simply use the entire Building Blocks sheet to round out their top targets and either try to get as many of them as they can into a lineup or give them all an 8% projection boost by giving them a thumbs-up in the Fantasy Cruncher player pool.
When I am building my own DraftKings and FanDuel NBA DFS lineups, I often try to use the Building Blocks as preferred targets. Of course, I want to weigh my personal NBA DFS Core 4 Plays heavier than others, but by also targeting the other coaches Building Blocks, I am not forcing any certain outcome to happen and trying to remove as many biases as I can. It’s difficult but it’s my process and I find it easy to replicate.
