Bottom of the Barrel Week 10 Tight End NFL DFS Breakdown

Chris Robin November 10th, 2022

I have been extremely lucky over the past few years. More importantly, the last year. I have been able to travel, meet new people, build lasting relationships, and chase a few dreams. So, in a way, life has come at me fast. Which is not a bad thing. It has long been said that the real currency is time rather than actual cash. I wholeheartedly agree! Use your time wisely. Give yourself a time check or time audit if need be. Personal improvements come in many ways, but our health and wellbeing must come first.

Let’s look at some Week 10 Bottom of the Barrel plays!

I’ll get into all the details after a quick note about our new membership options! 😺

Tight Ends

Travis Kelce KC vs. JAX(4th)(FD-$8,500)(DK-$7,800)(Y!-$32)

Kelce is, without doubt, a top-10 DFS players dream right now. We can set it and forget it in seasonal formats too. I almost don’t want to say this because it seems ridiculous, but Travis will be tested this week against a Jaguars defense allowing the 10th fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends. It’s laughable, right? Not the Jaguars but the idea that Travis Kelce can be stopped. He reminds me of likeable villain from a superhero movie. We applaud all the carnage and secretly want him to take over the world. Yet, we know that’s not the way Hollywood writes the script. Well, here in Week 10, we can write any ending we want! Kelce should go for 10+ targets, 7+ receptions, 80+ yards and a touchdown.

Cole Kmet CHI vs. DET(29th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$3,400)(Y!-$13)

I have become a “big thing will happen how they are supposed to” kind of guy. Wasn’t always that way but after a few battles of my own it has been nice for my piece of mind. After all the hoopla with Kmet and awful coaching staff last season has this new wave Chicago Bears team figured a few things out? How to properly let Justin Fields loose on the field? More importantly how to maximize Cole’s true talent? Kmet caught a season-high five passes for 42 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9! He has now caught three touchdowns in the last two games! Cole is running hot entering a match-up that is literally a gift to us DFS players. Do not second guess it. Do not tinker with it. Lastly, never look a gift horse in the mouth.

Dawson Knox BUF vs. MIN(22nd)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,300)(Y!-$15)

My weekly DFS notes are done a full five days prior to the actual kickoff and lock of the upcoming slate. Meaning, when the idea of Knox hit me, Josh Allen was to be the projected quarterback. Now it looks as if Case Keenum with be starting under center for the Bills. About Josh, directly from the local Buffalo beat writers they have said, “hour-to-hour situation.” Obviously, there is a huge difference between Keenum and Allen but in this case, it is not all doom and gloom for Knox and his DFS prospects. The combo of Dawson and Hines could clean up on all those short and intermediate routes. I have Knox at 4-5 targets, 3-4 receptions, 35 yards, and a touchdown reception.

Evan Engram JAX @ KC(23rd)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$3,300)(Y!-$15)

As nuts as it may sound, I do believe the Jaguars can keep up with the pace in this game. It can also be one of those learning experiences in the growth and development of Trevor Lawrence. I am nowhere near proclaiming that Jacksonville will win in Arrowhead but there is an opportunity for Evan and Trevor to connect a handful of times. Engram has caught 33 passes while averaging a healthy 10.2 yards a pop. If we do some basic math as I expect 6 targets and 4 receptions, we get 40.8 yards. In my mind that is towing the line between his floor and a reasonable expectation. As the game implied total has swelled to 51, I think it wise to mix-and-match the secondary pieces on offense.

Harrison Bryant CLE @ MIA(26th)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$2,700)(Y!-$10)

I like this kid! Bryant is rather large at 6’5 230 pounds and has played a ton of snaps for the Browns. Unfortunately, in Week 8 he was not targeted once! However, with David Njoku officially out, Harrison has a shot at some meaningful snaps against a Dolphin defense that is allowing the fourth-most fantasy points a game to tight ends. His lowly price tag across all DFS formats makes him the perfect punt play with some wiggle room.

As this week’s Bottom of the Barrel comes to end, please feel free to double check the other offensive positional plays!
