Patrick Mahomes KC vs. LAR(10th)(FD-$9,000)(DK-$8,200)(Y!-$37)
Let’s be honest here. No way the Rams win this game at Arrowhead, right? Unfortunately, the defended Super Bowl Championships are down and out. I find it to be bummer given the feel-good story of Matthew Stafford winning it all last year. Here we go again with Pat playing on an ungodly level. We have now entered that three touchdown a game floor with Mahomes. Instead of stressing out or picking it apart let’s just rest and enjoy it all! Kansas City should come close to scoring 40 points Sunday afternoon. Let it ride! Enjoy the greatness!
Geno Smith SEA vs. LV(30th)(FD-$7,600)(DK-$6,000)(Y!-$33)
Geno and the Seahawks were safe at home in Week 11 on bye. Which was for the best after their offense looked horrendous in the first half of Week 10. Geno got the boys going in the 4th quarter, but it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback. I am not a big morale victory guy, but I do believe their bye week was spent in a positive and productive manner. Seattle’s opponent this week, the Raiders, were pushed to the limit in overtime by the 3-7 Denver Broncos. I am a firm believer in teams playing up to, or passed, their ability given the opposing teams pace of play. While Vegas looks to be going nowhere fast, they are a threat to hang 24+ points in this one. Thus, raising the stakes for Geno and the Seahawks offense. Fully stackable game alert in this one as Geno Smith completes 23-24 passes for 260 yards including 20-25 rushing yards. Lastly, I have a feeling Vegas has a tough time keeping Mr. Smith contained in the red zone. Meaning, major rushing touchdown upside for Geno on Sunday!
Tom Brady TB @ CLE(13th)(FD-$7,400)(DK-$5,800)(Y!-$26)
While you might have only read Bottom of the Barrel for a few years I have been writing it for almost eight years. Why do we care? After all that time I am almost certain Tom Brady has never made an appearance in this article! Not to say this article is where players go to die rather than this is where players go to pop! At 5-5 the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lead the NFC South! Realistically, TB12 and TB control their own destiny. One thing that came to mind here was the fact Tom has a 13-4 record after his bye week. We should never count out Brady or the team he is playing with. Last week the Browns were bested by the Buffalo Bills in Detroit 31-23. We could go on and on about the change in routine and travel time followed by the loss but that would be lazy of me. Instead, let’s focus on the fact the Cleveland Browns are still the Cleveland Browns. That is a much more professional approach. Brady and the Bucs are about to go on a run and when he’s dialed in it’s a beautiful thing. Let’s expect over 300 passing yards with a pair of touchdowns for TB12 in Week 12.
Derek Carr LV @ SEA(20th)(FD-$7,300)(DK-$5,700)(Y!-$26)
If Davante Adams is active and, on the field, Derek Carr is worth the risk in DFS formats. I am not kidding. It really is that simple. Carr tossed for 307 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Raiders overtime win. Both touchdowns went to Adams. Lock and load the combo yet again in a game with a higher-than-normal point total. I have Derek Carr at 24-25 completions for 280 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Trevor Lawrence JAX vs. BAL(22nd)(FD-$6,900)(DK-$5,500)(Y!-$27)
Back in Week 10 Trevor Lawrence completed 29 of his 40 pass attempts for 259 yards and two touchdowns while gaining 26 yards on the ground against a softer Kansas City defense. Now, after their bye week the Jaguars find themselves in a similar situation against the Ravens. I am not expecting Jacksonville to win but they will put up a bigger fight than the Panthers. At this point T-Law remains in the conversation as a healthy streaming option and a kid who can help us over the cash line hump! Given his price tag and expected stat line he makes for a nice building block in large tournaments! I have Trevor around 22-23 completions, 245 passing yards, and close to 20 yards on the ground. With another pair of touchdown passes he should approach 20+ points on FanDuel and DraftKings.
Taylor Heinicke WSH vs. ATL(24th)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,300)(Y!-$23)
Sometimes a real-life win is more important than our DFS lines. No, they aren’t! That doesn’t fly here in Bottom of the Barrel! We want points! We want money! We want it all! Jokes aside, Taylor has now won 4 of his last 5 games as the Commanders starting quarterback! Taylor was mentioned here last week, and we knew, on paper, that it was a tough task against Houston. Washington now welcomes in the Atlanta Falcons who flat out stink on defense against the pass. As odd as it sounds, Taylor and the Commanders may have a good game Sunday statistically speaking. I think they score 28 points and Heinicke has his hand in about three of them. Which way is the question. Long as they cross the plain, I do not care!
