Bottom of the Barrel Week 12 Running Backs NFL DFS Breakdown

Bottom of the Barrel Week 12 Running Backs NFL DFS Breakdown
November 23, 2022
Dealing with people, places, and personalities can be an issue. The longer we are around the more difficult it becomes. I can only speak from my own perspective, but I have become a guy who avoids public discussions. Sure, if you want to chat about football or sports betting, it’s not a big deal. I am speaking from an exhausting type of scenario where no one is right or wrong. It’s just this ugly open-ended forum where the only move is to either one up or burn the next person. One big waste of time!
If strangers do not react how, you want them to it can be dangerous. If strangers do not say what you expect them to say it can be dangerous. The idea of these specific expectations from strangers overall sets us up for failure. Expectations lead to resentments. Resentments lead to bad behavior and before we know it, we are one big ball of misery.
All the seriousness stuff aside, the week ahead should be one of thankfulness and kindness. Let’s look at some Week 12 Bottom of the Barrel plays!
I’ll get into all the details after a quick note about our new membership options! 😺

Running Backs
Derrick Henry TEN vs. CIN(14th)(FD-9,500)(DK-$8,300)(Y!-$37)
The King continues to reign supreme. This monster has now added passing touchdowns to his tool bag and folks will still fade him! Some DFS players just build based on DvP matchups. Fair enough seeing how that is a piece of how I write this article. On Sunday the Titans will welcome the Bengals to Nashville, in what should be an outstanding back-and-forth game! The defensive ranking here is red but volume will always win out! Meaning, let’s expect 23, or more, rushing attempts on top of a few receptions. I have this odd feeling that Henry takes a screen pass to the house on Sunday! Plan accordingly!
Rachaad White TB @ CLE(31st)(FD-$6,400)(DK-$5,100)(Y!-$19)
Heading into Week 12 White has massive splash pay potential. Especially with Fournette questionable to play, we should watch Mr. White just eat up yardage. I have always been a Leo fan, but it looks as if it is a new day for Tampa Bay. The Bucs started the season slow and to be fair, have looked awful in some spots. Yet, Tom has the boys even at 5-5, fresh off their bye week, and looking to make a run! Rachaad White should be busy in this one as Mike Evans and Chris Godwin make this Browns DST look confused and unable to keep pace. Let’s pencil Mr. White in for around 10 carries, 45 yards, two or three receptions, and 25 yards. The chances he finds the endzone are also highly likely!
Isiah Pacheco KC vs. LAR(8th)(FD-$6,300)(DK-$5,500)(Y!-$19)
Football is a lot of things including riding that momentum! Which, Isiah has after his first career 100-yard game! What I found interesting was all the success and room outside that Pacheco ate up. Trust me, I have long said how the Chiefs rarely lean on the run and how the running back spot isn’t all that important. Yet, the Chiefs are a massive home favorite against the Rams on Sunday. Patrick Mahomes has somehow hit another level so there should be a ton of early down work for the rookie! Let’s expect 14-15 carries, 60 yards, and a reception or two. I am also counting on Kansas City to score 35+ points. Pacheco will find the endzone at least once!
Raheem Mostert MIA vs. HOU(32nd)(FD-$6,300)(DK-$5,700)(Y!-$20)
Obligatory use whatever running back we can against the Houston DST blurb. Unfortunately, Jeff Wilson(FD-$7,700)(DK-$5,900)(Y!-$21), was a little too pricey for Bottom of the Barrel standards. As you can see, I snuck him in any way! I think both backs come close to an even split give or take a carry or two. Worst case Wilson sees a few more attempts on the ground while Mostert see an extra target or two. I am locking in Raheem at 10 carries, 50 yards, 2-3 targets, and about 15 yards.
Latavius Murray DEN @ CAR(27th)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$5,000)(Y!-$14)
In a matter of days Latavius went from 50/50 and will he or won’t he to being the stud bell cow back of the Denver Broncos! As a refresher, Melvin Gordon III was released, and Chase Edmonds is out with an ankle sprain. It’s funny how life works sometimes! All the roster movement and now the cake match-up against the soft Carolina run defense! Maybe I am being overly ambitious, but Murray could approach 20, or more, total targets and touches. Let’s pencil the Latman in for 17 carries, 70 yards, 3 to 4 receptions, and another 20 yards. I also have him locked in to find the endzone. He makes for a very nice anytime touchdown bet this weekend!
Michael Carter NYJ vs. CHI(28th)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$5,400)(Y!-$18)
Mike Carter handled eight carries for only 19 yards and one catch for negative two yards on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Some would say holy smokes I want nothing to do with the Jets offense, but I say heck no let’s double down and stack them up! News just came out that Zach Wilson has been benched in favor of Mike White! If you remember correctly, White played in four games (three starts) for the Jets last season and accumulated 953 yards, five touchdowns and eight interceptions on 132 pass attempts. So, both good and bad. I have Carter around 10 ten carries, 45 yards, 2 or 3 receptions, and another 20 yards. Look, we are in Week 12 of the season it is time to take some chances! Plus, no such thing as a sure thing these days!
Antonio Gibson WSH vs. ATL(21st)(FD-$6,100)(DK-$5,400)(Y!-$17)
J.D. McKissic is out with an injury and that gives Gibson a larger role and a bigger impact as a receiver! The threat with Gibby is real! I find Antonio to be the more valuable player in both phases of the game and he’s in a beautiful spot-on Sunday against Atlanta! The Falcons are allowing nearly 24 fantasy points a game to RBs! I have Gibson around 14-15 carries, 50 yards, 3 or 4 receptions, and another 25-30 yards. Per usual, best used paired with Brian Robinson Jr.
Brian Robinson Jr. WSH vs. ATL(21st)(FD-$6,100)(DK-$5,100)(Y!-$17)
First and foremost, The Atlanta Falcons have allowed a ton of fantasy points to running backs and opposing backfields this season! With B-Rob’s floor already low he makes for a beautiful daily fantasy play! Yes, Brian is stuck with only early down and red zone work, and he may be dependent on touchdowns, but the DvP matchup is too sweet to pass on. Robinson Jr. should see around 12 carries, 45-50 yards, and a few receptions for about 10 yards.
Kyren Williams LAR @ KC(22nd)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,900)(Y!-$12)
If I had a dollar for every text or private message, I received yesterday about the Rams cutting Darrell Henderson Jr. I would have like twelve bucks. Personally, folks were gearing up for something with Kyren for a few weeks now. Little did we know the Rams were going to stick with him and Cam! Williams led the backfield last week with 24 routes run but didn’t see a single target! So strange but the Rams are a mess right now. The only good news is the fact that Kansas City is a chunk yardage giveaway machine. Given the price tag across the board I am willing to take the risk! I think we see close to 12 total targets and touches for Kyren. Fifty total yards and a touchdown would be an early Christmas gift!
