Patrick Mahomes KC @ DEN(3rd)(FD-$8,800)(DK-$8,000)(Y!-$34)
Wow! Which angle should we discuss here? How bad the Denver Broncos are with Russell Wilson at quarterback? Or how mad the Chiefs are going to be heading into Denver on Sunday? Without sounding overdramatic teasing Kansas City -30 isn’t even a weird bet. For some odd reason Joe Burrow has Mahomes number and it’s not being discussed enough! Nothing the Chiefs can do about it now other than beating up on the Broncos. Look for Pat to score points in every way possible. This one just screams, passing touchdown, receiving touchdown, and rushing touchdown for Pat.
Kirk Cousins MIN @ DET(32nd)(FD-$7,500)(DK-$6,100)(Y!-$30)
Kirk has done a number on the Detroit Lions during the length of his career. Not that big of a deal seeing how a lot of other QBs have done the same. Cousins has played for the Lions ten times in his career, two different teams, and has an eyepopping 21 touchdowns to 2 interceptions ratio. Over the last ten games he has tossed 11 touchdowns with only one interception. The Vikings and Lions last met in Week 3 as Minnesota prevailed 28-24. A lot has happened since September 25th, but one constant remains, the disdain between the two teams. Last I looked The Lions are home favorites but that shouldn’t stop Kirk from 290 passing yards with, at minimum, a pair of passing touchdowns. In an odd way could be his floor.
Jared Goff DET vs. MIN(26th)(FD-$7,100)(DK-$5,600)(Y!-$28)
Jared Goff went 31-of-41 for 340 yards and two touchdowns Sunday to wail on the Jaguars. At the time of this writing, Jared’s great game earned him a nomination for the FedEx Air Player of the Week. In the grand scheme of things, it’s useless but it does open a few eyes across the NFL. The Detroit Lions have seemingly clicked on offense, and it is a wonderful time to jump on board in daily fantasy sports formats given the task at hand. Minnesota has given up at least 26 points in four of the last six games as they rank 21st with 23.3 points allowed per game. Perfect timing for us DFS players! Perfect timing for Detroit Lions fans. I am expecting Goff to complete 27 passes, 270 yards, and a pair of touchdowns. In an odd way could be his floor.
Tyler Huntley BAL @ PIT(24th)(FD-$7,000)(DK-$5,500)(Y!-$26)
A huge bummer about Lamar Jackson but as daily fantasy sports players we must adjust. We have seen Tyler play well and struggle in others. So much so, I was shocked to see him resign with the Ravens ahead of the season. Was certain Huntley was going to be given a starting gig elsewhere. Instead, Baltimore locked him up and here we are! Tyler’s biggest strengths are his legs and rushing yardage upside. The only issue is the fact Huntley is not a secret! Huntley isn’t going to secretly play in Pittsburgh and wow everybody with 100 rushing yards and two scores on the ground. Everybody knows about him so now it becomes who has the gusto to heavily roster him? I am penciling in Huntley for 20 completions, 210 yards, 9-10 carries, 50 yards, and a touchdown.
Mike White NYJ @ BUF(7th)(FD-$6,800)(DK-$5,500)(Y!-$30)
Mike White has been awesome! Mr. White tossed up 28 passing attempts completing 22 of them for 315 yards and three touchdowns in Week 12. Last week, Mr. White threw for 369 yards, two interceptions, and a rushing score last week as the Jets failed their comeback against the Vikings. It was an awesome showing, in a loss, for this Jets team and Mike has shown us that exciting “no tomorrow” kind of attitude. The Jets are still backing Zach Wilson making Mike a dangerous man in game action. I am expecting Mr. White to let it all hang out in Week 14 against the Bills. 24-25 completions, 270 passing yards, and a touchdown pass. What I cannot get a handle on here is what this guy plans on doing if the moment strikes with his legs. He clearly has no regard for himself in relation to getting the job done. A late game rushing touchdown would be icing on the DFS cake for us, Mike White, and the New York Jets on Sunday!
Ryan Tannehill TEN vs. JAX(25th)(FD-$6,700)(DK-$5,200)(Y!-$26)
Last week was tough sledding for Tannehill and the Titans. The Eagles are just so good on their defensive line. Things should open, big time, for Tennessee this week. The Jaguars have given up 27, or more points, in their last three games. In those last three games they have only sacked the opposing QB three times! Tanny should have all day to hang in the pocket and find his guys in between feeding King Henry. Their last three games Robert Woods and Treylon Burks have shared a large 20.6% target rate! Which is around 6.7 targets a game. The rookie, Burks, is in the NFL concussion protocol but Tannehill will have another bevy of options to toss the ball to on Sunday. This Tennessee Titans team has a lot of undervalued players and sneaky potential in DFS formats on Sunday. Everything starts with Tanny! I have Ryan at 20 completions, 230 yards, 3-4 carries, and 15 rushing yards. Could be a massive undersell given the opposing team but Tannehill should have his hand in 2 or 3 different touchdowns.
Brock Purdy SF vs. TB(11th)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,100)(Y!-$25)
I told everyone on Sunday that Purdy was going to be in this week’s version of Bottom of the Barrel. Once Sunday’s games were over and Week 14’s Main slate was made available I made a mad dash for Brock! I find it nuts that Russell Wilson is also the same price as Brock Purdy on FanDuel. No offense to Purdy but Jimmy G and Matthew Stafford are also $6,500. Two QBs on IR share the same tag as Russ Wilson. That silly Subway sandwich really sank this guy’s career. So, I will ask you now, rookie QB Brock Purdy against Tampa Bay this week or Russell Wilson against the Chiefs?
