Josh Jacobs LV vs. NE(2nd)(FD-$9,200)(DK-$8,100)(Y!-$36)
Do not worry about Josh and his perma-questionable tag. The same thing happened last week against the Rams. He went on to carry the ball 27 times, gain 99 rushing yards, and scoring a touchdown. Let’s not forget his two targets, two receptions, and an additional 15 yards. Next up is a tough match-up against a defensive line allowing just 3.80 yards a carry to running-backs, the sixth-lowest rate in the league. On paper it is bad news. Yet, Josh is a star and warrants our attention. In DFS formats I would pick and choose where I use him. In seasonal formats he’s a must start. I am thinking 26-27 total carries, 100+ yards, a touchdown, 3-4 receptions, and 20 yards. Yeah, use JJ in Week 15!
Latavius Murray DEN vs. ARZ(22nd)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,100)(Y!-$14)
Look, I know the Broncos offense is bad. How bad? The worst in the league as of right now. Murrays only saving grace is the fact he’s this team’s top option early on. The rub is the game script and last week started off dang bad against the Chiefs. In Week 15 the Broncos face a demoralized Arizona Cardinals football team. After losing on Monday night and their star QB Kyler Murray going down there is not much left for the Cards to do. Not saying they fold up, but this could be a good game offensively! Let’s label it the toilet bowl and watch it finish with 35-31 types of final. That’s normally the rule! When we don’t see it coming it hits us like a ton of bricks! I am counting on 14-15 carries, 65 carries, 3-4 receptions, and another 10 yards.
D’Onta Foreman CAR vs. PIT(17th)(FD-$6,400)(DK-$5,400)(Y!-$19)
This is a tricky situation. Last week Foreman carried the ball 17 times for 74 yards. Yet, Hubbard did almost the exact same thing. In an odd way, if we survived Week 14, we get a do-over with D’Onta at home. I have Carolina to hang around 21 points and I do believe they continue to mix in the combo of Foreman and Hubbard. I also think it’s a great idea to stack both up against the Steelers! Let’s expect 14-15 carries, 70 yards, 1-2 receptions, and another 10 yards.
Jerick McKinnon KC @ HOU(32nd)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$5,200)(Y!-$18)
Jerick is back on the scene! Did you see what he did in Denver last Sunday? We completely forgot how fast McKinnon is! The Chiefs are a well-oiled machine on offense. With Mahomes leveling up, yet again, the running back position in this offense doesn’t seem that important. It’s about Kelce and the rest of the wide receivers. As Kansas City heads to Houston this game has all the makings of another big-time game for Jet as a pass catching back. No sense in going on about how bad the Texans defense is against opposing RBs. I am going to predict 7-8 carries, 35-40 yards, 4-5 receptions, and 50 yards. To be honest, after his 9 target Week 14 stat line, projecting 4 or 5 seems low. So, let’s call that his floor this week in Houston. The Jet is about to take off again!
Chuba Hubbard CAR vs. PIT(17th)(FD-$6,100)(DK-$4,900)(Y!-$16)
This running back list for Week 15 seems dirty. Doesn’t feel right or correct. I am not as fulfilled this week as I normally am. Maybe that means we are on the right track! Chuba had his best game of the season in Week 14, running 14 times for 74 yards and a touchdown which grabbing all three of his targets for 25 yards. Maybe one of the wilder things of the season but I love the idea of using both Panther RBs this week. The only person to foil this plan would be rookie Raheem Blacksheer. Two weeks in a row, though? Let’s not be the grinch this week Raheem. Let Chuba get his 10 or 11 carries, 40 yards, 2 or 3 receptions, and another 12 yards.
Samaje Perine CIN @ TB(8th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$5,600)(Y!-$16)
Did you see what Jerick McKinnon did as a pass catching back against the Buccaneers last week? Jet literally broke the slate at the RB position. McKinnon saw 9 targets, caught 7 of them, 112 yards, and two touchdowns. Would be a fool to project Perine along the same stat line but the idea is solid! Samaje was outstanding in the absence of Joe Mixon. Mixon is back and getting his normal workload, but you can’t tell me the Bengals staff did not see what the KC RBs did in Tampa last week. Aside from Chase, Higgins, Mixon, and Boyd the gameplan here should be Mixon and Perine early and often. Let’s expect 4-5 carries, 20 yards, 3-4 receptions, and 30 yards.
Tyler Allgeier ATL @ NO(13th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$4,700)(Y!-$13)
With rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder at the helm, it would be best for the Falcons to lean on their running game. They are already labeled a run heavy team but hopefully they redouble their efforts. Perfect timing if you ask me as Atlanta is just now coming off their bye week. The idea of Atlanta giving everybody under the sun a rushing attempt is not beneficial to anyone. Come to find out Atlanta is still very much in the NFC Playoff hunt with Tampa sitting at 6-7. In my heart of hearts, I think the Falcons tighten this thing up and lean on Patterson and Allgeier. In that case let’s give the kid 11-12 carries, 55-60 yards, one or two receptions, and 10-12 yards. Sneaky move and with-it being Week 15 we shall take it!
