Bottom of the Barrel Week 4 NFL DFS Breakdown
Bottom of the Barrel week 4
Chris Robin https://twitter.com/DetroitBeastie
Loss is a powerful thing. For everyone involved. Friends, family, and outsiders have different perspectives. Everyone grieves in a different way and at their own time.
We have all heard about the five stages of grief. 1. Denial. 2. Anger. 3. Bargaining. 4. Depression. 5. Acceptance.
There is no timetable for grieving. In addition, there is no right way or wrong way to heal. Human nature broken down into its simplest form is emotion. Loving, laughing, yelling and crying to name a few. In today’s day and age, I have seen large groups of folks trying to suppress their emotion. Hiding what they truly feel. Those are the people we need to worry about most. They are willingly cutting off their natural human experience on this earth.
One thing I have always entertained throughout my adult life is being free of stress, anxiety, and worry. Easier said than done but the willingness to try has always been there.
Reach out to those you love. Make amends, if possible, for any harm you may have caused. Call someone if you are feeling down. There is always an easier softer way.
Bottom of the Barrel week 4
Patrick Mahomes KC @ PHI(7th)(FD-$8,700)(DK-$8,100)(Y!-$39)
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs showed some weakness in week three against the Chargers. We are allowed to have a bad day from time to time. Nothing to see here. Nothing to be worried about, yet.
Here are some cheaper options I am rolling with at quarterback!
Taylor Heinicke WSH @ ATL(32nd)(FD-$7,400)(DK-$5,900)(Y!-$26)
Hiney, as I call him, went 14 of his 24 pass attempts for 212 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions Sunday in Buffalo. He also rushed for 21 yards and another touchdown. Looking ahead to week four the Football Team is in a juicy spot. The Atlanta Falcons are dead last in terms of defended opposing quarterbacks. Roster Taylor in week four!
Baker Mayfield CLE @ MIN(29th)(FD-$7,300)(DK-$6,200)(Y!-$24)
Baker has always been a better real-life quarterback in comparison to fantasy football. The Cleveland Browns are still working out some kinks but I fully expect them to fire on all cylinders Sunday in Minnesota!
Sam Darnold CAR @ DAL(24th)(FD-$7,200)(DK-$6,000)(Y!-$25)
Has Sam Darnold officially broken out? Seeing how this is my article I am going to say yes! Let me refresh your memory! Sam rushed for two scores on Thursday night. With the loss of Christian McCaffrey, I am fully expecting several more.
Jared Goff DET @ CHI(14th)(FD-$7,100)(DK-$5,200)(Y!-$26)
The Detroit Lions are winless at 0-3 but it feels different. They are fighting like hell on a weekly basis. The same cannot be said for the Chicago Bears. Head coach Matt Nagy looks confused with his head in the clouds. I am fully expecting Jared Goff and the Lions to pour it on Sunday in Chicago.
Teddy Bridgewater DEN v BAL(28th)(FD-$6,800)(DK-$5,700)(Y!-$28)
Color me impressed! Teddy two gloves and the Denver Broncos have been rolling! Looking ahead to week 4 the Baltimore Ravens do not exactly instill fear.
Jacoby Brissett MIA v IND(21st)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,700)(Y!-$20)
Bottom of the Barrel was created for a player like Jacoby Brissett. With Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa being placed on the IR the Miami Dolphins are floundering for success.
Trey Lance SF v SEA(12th)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$4,700)(Y!-$23)
It seems as if the 49ers coaching staff is fine letting Jimmy G manage games and keep them moving in the right direction. Albeit at snail’s pace, this is what we are getting. At some point in the 2021 season, Trey Lance is going to grab onto the QB1 horns and never look back. We all know Lance is the future of this team and the NFL. Let’s get ahead of this thing!
Derrick Henry TEN @ NYJ(29th)(FD-$10,200)(DK-$8,800)(Y!-$41)
King Henry has eighty carries through three weeks of the 2021 season. Seems a little light, doesn’t it? All joking aside, Derrick is worth every penny in week 4!
Here are my cheaper options at running back!
Zack Moss BUF v HOU(23rd)(FD-$6,000)(DK-$5,300)(Y!-$20)
Well, that escalated quickly! From a healthy scratch to three touchdowns in two weeks! While his price tag on both sites is a little high, I would not be doing my job if I didn’t mention Mr. Moss, even in passing!
Trey Sermon SF v SEA(32nd)(FD-$5,900)(DK-$5,000)(Y!-$18)
The NFL is a funny place! Much like Zack Moss, Sermon goes from not needed in week one to lead back duties. Granted, injury-related, it still counts! Long gone are the Legion of Boom days in Seattle so Trey Sermon has some sneaky DFS upside here!
Devin Singletary BUF v HOU(23rd)(FD-$5,700)(DK-$4,800)(Y!-$16)
Week to week it’s never wise to build your DFS rosters with two running backs from the same team. Or is it? Bottom of the Barrel has had some early success with this method! Look back to last week with Peyton Barber and Kenyan Drake. This week 4 match-up in Houston has all the makings of a 25+ combined carry game with Moss and Singletary.
Jamaal Williams DET @ CHI(5th)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$5,300)(Y!-$15)
On paper this match-up isn’t screaming “play me, play me!” but after a quick glance at the Chicago Bears’ first three games stacking against them stands out! The Detroit Lions offense has gone through both running backs. So why fight it?
Kenneth Gainwell PHI v KC(30th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$4,300)(Y!-$16)
The Philadelphia Eagles had to abandon the run quickly Monday night in Dallas. Which should have been good news for Gainwell’s prospects. However, it was not. Kenny only saw five total targets and touches. What gives? Personally, I believe the Eagles decided to ease him into the game plan. They just ran out of time Monday night. In a weird way after a full week of practice, the Eagles will plan ahead giving Gainwell a ton more work in an exploited match-up!
Hyheim Hines IND @ MIA(27th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,900)(Y!-$16)
Hines has remained in a perfect spot for DFS purposes. His offense snap percentages and route running will continue making him a massive value on both Fanduel and Draftkings.
Michael Carter NYJ v TEN(15th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,500)(Y!-$13)
Call me crazy but I have a weird idea here! In week three the New York Jets were shut out! They could not do anything on offense against the Las Vegas Raiders. After that kind of ineptitude, why would we even consider the Jets in week four? Daily Fantasy Sports is a game of risk and chance. Throughout the week do me a favor, keep an eye out on all the “Tennessee Titans are my number one overall ranked DST in week four” tweets and posts. The New York Jets are in play simply because folks are so against them.
JD McKissic WSH @ ATL(19th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$5,000)(Y!-$14)
The Washington Football Team had a tough time getting anything going in week three against the Buffalo Bills. In turn, JD only saw five touches. In week five, however, the Football Team heads to Atlanta in what is sure to be a favorable contest!
Jeremy McNichols TEN @ NYJ(29th)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$4,800)(Y!-$12)
At the top of the running back portion here I mentioned Derrick Henry and his large salary. Normally McNichols is not on anyone’s radar given the massive workload Henry commands. If this game goes as we think it does, the Titans will be in complete control. Meaning, a kid like Jeremy will see some solid snaps!
Ty Johnson NYJ v TEN(15th)(FD-$4,700)(DK-$4,600)(Y!-$13)
I have good news and I have bad news. Which one would you like first? Ok, well the good news is Ty Johnson was the third most targeted Jets’ player with five. The bad news, he was only able to catch one of them for six yards. Much like the Michael Carter blurb, I’d expect folks to look at Ty like he is radioactive. With astronomically low ownership percentages there is a calculated edge to be gained here.
Demetric Felton CLE @ MIN(17th)(FD-$4,600)(DK-$4,300)(Y!-$12)
If you are reading this, may I ask you a question? How long do you expect Odell Beckham Jr. to stay healthy and on the field? While OBJ saw ten total targets and touches I have a feeling the Browns will start to spread it around a little more. Week four is upon us and these teams will start to open up their playbooks a little more.
Cooper Kupp LAR v ARZ(22nd)(FD-$8,600)(DK-$7,800)(Y!-$36)
Well, isn’t this a pleasant surprise? We all knew, well I did, that Matthew Stafford is a stud! Now the entire world is seeing it firsthand! Cooper Kupp has literally become the focal point of this high-powered Rams offense! Is Robert Woods toast? Tyler Higbee looks fantastic as well! I am sure you know but it bears repeating, Kupp is an outstanding play in DFS formats but keep an eye out on the sky-high ownership percentages.
Check out cheaper options at wide receiver in week four!
Corey Davis NYJ v TEN(32nd)(FD-$5,700)(DK-$5,000)(Y!-$18)
Hopefully, you are aware of my game plan in week four. I will be stacking the New York Jets. I have been called just about every name in the book when it comes to my DFS content. So, whatever you just said about me under your breath is fine by me. There is a teeny-tiny edge to be gained rostering Jets in week four. Care to join me?
Jalen Reagor PHI v KC(12th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$4,700)(Y!-$16)
How exciting is it that Jalen leads the Eagles in targets Monday night? Unfortunately, nothing notes worth in terms of results but still promising! Hopefully, the Eagles can spend the week going over what the Chargers did in week three while in Kansas City.
DeVante Parker MIA v IND(29th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$5,200)(Y!-$15)
Talk about exciting! Well moderately exciting but Parker has seen little to no dip in work given the quarterback change. Looking at the match-up against the Colts in addition to Jacoby Brissett I am all in!
Jaylen Waddle MIA v IND(29th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$4,900)(Y!-$18)
This is the week the Tua-less Dolphins break out of their slump and feed the rookie!
KJ Osborn MIN v CLE(17th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$3,700)(Y!-$14)
Reduced targets are a bad thing. Make no mistake about it but this kid has grabbed my attention and the Minnesota Viking’s interest. Rightfully so! He is strong and physical at the line of scrimmage.
Kalif Raymond DET @ CHI(28th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,400)(Y!-$12)
Raymond has seemingly become the Detroit Lions WR1! As shocking as it sounds the targets have been there! Kalif saw ten total targets last week! Looking ahead to the match-up in Chicago there will be room for him to roam!
Allen Lazard GB v PIT(24th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$3,600)(Y!-$14)
After their win in San Francisco, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have their mojo! Last week it was MVS this week it’ll be Lazard! Just law of averages thing.
Quintez Cephus DET @ CHI(28th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$4,000)(Y!-$15)
The wide receiver landscape has been a weird one through the first three weeks of the season. What’s even more shocking is the fact Quintez only saw one target last week against Baltimore. Not a glowing report for B&B week 4 but how can we not bet on a bigger target share Sunday?
Terrace Marshall Jr. CAR @ DAL(27th)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$4,000)(Y!-$12)
The Carolina Panthers are on the upswing! The rookie’s usage is also climbing. The Dallas Cowboys had a somewhat good showing Monday night but they are still ripe for the picking.
Devin Duvernay BAL @ DEN(14th)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,900)(Y!-$10)
Maybe we are a week late on Duvernay love but I am willing to double down on him given the match-up.
Van Jefferson Jr. LAR v ARZ(22nd)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,900)(Y!-$12)
Kyler Murray against Matthew Stafford! This one should be on everybody’s radar! So many moving parts to this one. So many studs playing on both ends! Who thinks Van gets lost in the shuffle and sneaks past for a bomb?
Elijah Moore NYJ v TEN(32nd)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$3,900)(Y!-$10)
There is no way the Jets lay down, again, at home. On paper, this match-up is just too sweet.
Olamide Zaccheaus ATL v WSH(26th)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$4,100)(Y!-$12)
Keep an eye on Russell Gage. In his absence, Olamide saw six targets. Against the young and quick Washington defensive front Matt Ryan and this offense will have to move fast! Zaccheaus could provide a much-needed spark for this Falcons team!
Travis Kelce KC @ PHI(11th)(FD-$8,200)(DK-$8,100)(Y!-$31)
Best in the game. Keep it moving!
Give these cheaper tight ends a try in week four!
Pat Freiermuth PIT @ GB(29th)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,100)(Y!-$13)
This kid is smooth and so sweet when he is running routes. Just so happens he is big and strong and now the Steeler’s tight-end one. See you later Ebron!
Gerald Everett SEA @ SF(21st)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$3,200)(Y!-$11)
The quest for double-digit touchdowns continues! His five receptions in week three is a good sign! Gerald will never jump off the screen with production but he is on the shortlist of favorite punt plays at the position!
Tommy Tremle CAR @ DAL(27th)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$2,500)(Y!-$10)
Some would say why bother? Or what is the big deal with Tommy? I will tell you! Those of us in the know and those of us who love to punt the tight-end position see a glimmer of hope. This kid has what we are after. High-end streaming appeal!
Albert Okwuegbunam DEN v BAL(31st)(FD-$4,600)(DK-$2,600)(Y!-$13)
Anytime I can mention Albert Ok in Bottom of the Barrel is a good week! This kid is big and strong and while Teddy Bridgewater is at the helm anything goes! The Baltimore Ravens are not good at defended tight ends. Albert will find the end zone in week four!
Geoff Swaim TEN @ NYJ(12th)(FD-$4,300)(DK-$2,600)(Y!-$10)
Geoff tied Julio Jones and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in targets last week with four. This is not spectacular given the fact Tannehill threw the ball only twenty-seven times. However, it does tell me that Swaim has become some sort of safety blanket for Ryan Tannehill. Let’s use that in week four!
Tommy Sweeney BUF v HOU(26th)(FD-$4,100)(DK-$2,500)(Y!-$10)
You have got to be kidding me, Chris. Tommy Sweeney? Really? This is the definition of scrapping the dumpster. The lowest of the low. Let me ask you this, do you think Josh Allen can be trusted to distribute the football? Exactly!
That is, it! Did I miss someone? Any questions or comments?
