Davante Adams LV vs. HOU(10th)(FD-$8,600)(DK-$8,700)(Y!-$34)
Last time we saw Adams was in Week 5 when he had a fine game and produced 124 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 3 receptions. Oh, let’s not forget when he pushed the camera guy down and was charged with misdemeanor assault. Personally, I think it’s lame but that’s the world we live in now.
Much like the running backs mentioned here in Bottom of the Barrel Week 7, I would like to focus on the cheapest of plays. Four receivers to love in the 6,000-dollar range. However, a few players have set themselves apart while there are some absolute gems to be plucked from the $5,000 range! Lets’ dig in, shall we?
Brandin Cooks HOU @ LV(19th)(FD-$6,300)(DK-$6,000)(Y!-$16)
In all the years I have written DFS content I am not sure if I have ever mentioned Brandin Cooks. Not kidding! I would have to look back through all my notebooks. Regardless, lets chat about him here in Week 7! Cooks has 42 total targets leading up to Week 7 in Vegas. If we do the math that is 7 per game. Both, Houston, and Vegas, had their bye weeks last Sunday. I am sure both teams are preaching about a fresh slate. Combined these teams are 2-7-1 so how many folks will just glance over this game in general? Do not make that mistake! Cooks is looking good for 8 or 9 targets with 5 or 6 receptions for 70 yards.
Brandon Aiyuk SF vs. KC(30th)(FD-$6,300)(DK-$6,000)(Y!-$17)
Brandon Aiyuk caught 8-of-11 targets for 83 yards and two touchdowns last week! Finally! Few things here with Aiyuk and the 49ers. First, they host the Chiefs who just lost a heartbreaker to the Bills. Second, the KC defense is 30th against defending opposing WRs. So many weird ideas going around in my head. Mahomes is match-up proof and opposing defenses don’t matter, right? Yet, the 49ers defense has been unreal in the way they bring pressure and get to the QB. Does the KC defense focus so much effort on Deebo, Kittle, and Jimmy G that Aiyuk repeats what he did last week or touch better? In all honesty, who knows? Let’s take it easy, lock him in to score and put up 60 yards. Easy enough.
Alec Pierce IND @ TEN(31st)(FD-$6,100)(DK-$4,600)(Y!-$17)
The rookie has some juice! Game winning touchdown with a few seconds left! I know I used the word, “finally” when mentioning Aiyuk but we all saw what this kid did in the preseason. Was only a matter of time. I do feel folks may pump up his ownership percentage as they chase points but the match-up is too sweet to ignore. Alec is now firmly this teams WR2. Don’t believe me? Go check out their depth chart!
Michael Gallup DAL vs. DET(25th)(FD-$6,100)(DK-$5,100)(Y!-$17)
Obligatory stack players against the worst team in the league post. The Lions have fooled me my entire life and I really did believe things were going to be different this year with Brad and Dan. Nope, same old Lions. The Cowboys are getting Dak back which should be a perfect time for them to experiment and work on their timing in real life game action.
Romeo Doubs GB @ WSH(29th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$5,000)(Y!-$17)
Once again, here we are with the Packers. Look, with fellow rookie WR Christian Watson still nursing a hamstring issue and my projected explosion of the Green Bay offense, Doubs is a quick plug and play. Six targets, five catches, and fifty yards is a nice baseline this week.
