Bottom of the Barrel Week 8 Tight-Ends NFL DFS Breakdown
From a seasonal perspective we are at the half-way point of the fantasy season! Shocking, yes, but another hurdle jumped over when we play daily fantasy sports! The summer has turned into fall, and we are on the cusp of Halloween! What is your favorite scary movie? If you’re like me, you read that in the Scream Ghostface voice. This is no secret, but I am partial to Michael Myers and the original Halloween movies. I am aware we all have our own likes and dislikes.
DFS is best suited for folks willing to take a risk. DFS is also a game of chance & I find it to be enjoyable from a strategic perspective. Do not let anyone tell you, EVER, that your ideas stink. Realistically, that is all we have. A game where our daydreams can pay dividends!
Let’s look at some Week 8 Bottom of the Barrel plays!

Tight Ends
George Kittle SF @ LAR(1st)(FD-$6,900)(DK-$5,700)(Y!-$17)
Tough sledding with Kittle this week but at least he is anointed the highest priced TE on both FanDuel and DraftKings! George has hit the ground running as of late and built up some positive momentum but this match-up is bad news! Regardless, the tight-end spot is flush with cheap talent this week.
Mike Gesicki MIA @ DET(28th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$3,800)(Y!-$14)
We did not come this far to only come this far! The volume should be there this week against an awful Lions’ defense giving up the fourth-highest points per game to tight ends! Gesicki should fill up the box score, even if he only catches 3 or 4 passes.
Irv Smith Jr. MIN vs. ARZ(31st)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,500)(Y!-$15)
Irv Jr. has a beautiful match-up this week, at home, against the Cardinals! The Arizona defense has given up the second-most touchdown passes per game to tight ends! Who cares if Irv Jr. isn’t reliable. He’s been on the fence for the length of his young career. When it comes to daily fantasy sports we pick players in the best possible situations on a game-to-game basis. Irv Smith Jr. will score a touchdown on Sunday! Book it!
Tanner Hudson NYG @ SEA(32nd)(FD-$4,100)(DK-$10)
Going out on a limb here with Hudson seeing how Daniel Bellinger is out with a significant eye injury. It just hit me like a ton of bricks that I am all in on Daniel Jones and the Giants this week. So, how can we get a piece of this game without the heavy ownership and eyes all over it? Tanner Hudson is the way! The over/under in Seattle on Sunday is at 45 points and I do believe that every point of that over hits. I have the final score at 28-27! We’re in for treat with this one. Tanner should provide all treats and no tricks on Sunday!
