Josh Allen BUF @ NYJ(9th)(FD-$9,300)(DK-$8,500)(Y!-$40)
It is nice to have Mr. Allen back on the main slate! What more can I say here that you don’t already know? On paper the Jets have played well! Their rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner has been lights out! However, some guys are just match-up proof. Josh Allen is tops on that list. The Bills and Josh could line up against a brick wall and he would still find a way around it! Fade at your own risk!
Geno Smith SEA @ ARZ(27th)(FD-$5,800)(Y!-$30)
Safe to say the Geno and the Seahawks are no longer a fluke? If I was Geno, I would take offense to that. All the work he, Pete, and the team has put in is the reason why they are in 1st place NFC West right now. The emergence of young stud Ken Walker III has helped their cause. Looking ahead to Sunday, Smith finds himself in a nice spot! I have Geno around 21 completions, 250 passing yards, pair of touchdown passes, and about 20 yards on the ground.
Justin Fields CHI vs. MIA(26th)(FD-$7,400)(DK-$5,300)(Y!-$30)
No love lost with the Bears and former Ohio St. QB, but Justin has continued to grow and become a better QB! I would be a fool to toss him aside based on his past and current affiliations. Fields has piled up more and more points in five straight games! One thing we will hear a lot this week is the fact the Bears get three semi-cake defenses in a row. Let’s start in Week 9, against Miami, who just let the lowly Lions rack up 393 total yards and 27 points. If you agree that the Bears are better than the Lions, then that should be enough to roster Justin Fields! His rushing yardage upside is enough for me to pull the trigger! Let’s pencil him in for 15 completions, 180 passing yards, and eight or nine carries for 45 yards!
*While writing this blurb the Chicago Bears just traded with the Pittsburgh Steelers to acquire WR Chase Claypool!
Taylor Heinicke WSH vs. MIN(24th)(FD-$7,200)(DK-$5,400)(Y!-$22)
If I’m not mistake this makes back-to-back season where the starting Washington QB gets hurt and they turn to Taylor. In both years Taylor has played with reckless abandon like he has nothing to lose. I respect the hell of that! What also stands out is the rejuvenation of stud WR Terry McLaurin! Taylor is not a star by any means as he will look shaky from time to time, but this guy comes through when they need him the most! The Vikings are legit this year at 6-1 but as usual we shouldn’t care who wins the game. Just add up the yards and points and let’s roll! Taylor Heinicke should be good for 260 passing yards on 24 completions along with two touchdown passes.
Aaron Rodgers GB @ DET(31st)(FD-$7,000)(DK-$5,900)(Y!-$27)
Rodgers completed 19 of 30 passes for 203 yards and two touchdown passes against Buffalo. Aaron was highlighted here last week. Heck, I was pushing the entire team as a great stack. It was an ok idea but nothing earth shattering. I should’ve waited until this week. It’s a simple idea in Week 9. The Packers always wail on the Lions. Why should Sunday be any different? Betting the over is a must here as the Lions hang at home, forcing Rodgers and the Pack to keep scoring. Might be the easiest thing we do all season with our DFS lines. I’m thinking Rodgers completes 23 passes for 270 yards including three touchdown passes.
Trevor Lawrence JAX vs. LV(32nd)(FD-$6,800)(DK-$5,200)(Y!-$28)
While folks in seasonal formats are bummed out and complaining about Trevor, we can skip right to the front of the line with him here in DFS formats. I will admit that Lawrence hasn’t been the stud that we were promised but this match-up against the Raiders is too juicy to pass up. Vegas is dead last against opposing QBs, and they are allowing the most points to opposing QBs. I cannot figure them out but maybe we don’t have to. Last week the Raiders were shut out by the Saints and Alvin Kamara went nuclear. What are the chances Trevor can hang some major fantasy points while throwing the ball to Travis Etienne Jr.?
