Slate Overview:
We’re down to the final game of the regular season with today’s 4-game slate, and although the games don’t mean anything it’s a very interesting day for DFS purposes. Today is not a day I would recommend playing cash games at all with so much uncertainty on minutes and rotations but in GPP’s there’s a wide range of ways you could play this slate.
Guard
With so much up in the air today, I’d rather outline a few plays I like instead of forcing a write up on an expensive guy at each positon. Especially since said guy might only play 20 minutes.
Tyler Herro ($5,700) – My favorite play of the day and I’m sure many others as well, I expect Herro to come in as one of the higher owned players today. The Heat will be without Dragic, Bam, and Jimmy Butler. Herro should get a ton of extra minutes and we’ve seen time and time again what he’s capable of with some extra time on the court.
Aaron Holiday ($5,100) – Another play I like a lot today is Aaron Holiday. Two games ago against the Rockets, Holiday saw crazy ownership numbers and was a complete bust. Because of that, I think he might come at a bit of a discount in ownership today. We saw multiple Pacers miss that contest two days ago, and the case will be the same again today. What caught my eye specifically was Holiday’s abysmal shooting numbers in that game; he went 1-11 from the field and 0-3 from three. I don’t expect anything near that today, and I think we get a nice bounce back from Aaron Holiday today.
Shai Gilgeous- Alexander ($7,600) – The Thunder situation is one we don’t know much about and being that this is the last game on the slate Shai is a risky play. We do know Chris Paul and Dennis Schroder will be out today, meaning Shai should see some solid run – if he plays. It’s so tough to predict what these coaches will do with their lineups, but I’ll have a share or two of Shai today for sure.
Forward/Center
Alize Johnson ($3,500) – While we should see some higher ownership numbers on the Pacers players today this is one that I think could come in a bit lower than others. Without Myles Turner, Domantas Sabonis and Goga Bitadze today Johnson should be in for all the minutes he can handle. While he’s been on the court he’s shown flashes of something special, and hopefully we can nail a breakout performance from him today.
Kelly Olynyk ($5,500) – With Bam and Butler out, and Crowder likely out as well, Olynyk should see quite a boost in not only minutes but usage as well. We know Kelly is aggressive on the floor, so with Miami resting their studs I love the idea of an Olynyk-Herro two stack today.
Mike Scott ($4,200) – We know the Sixers will be without Ben Simmons and likely Joel Embiid. I expect them to sit guys like Tobias Harris, Josh Richardson, and Al Horford in the second half and at the very least get less than their usual workload. That leaves a bunch of extra run for our guy Mike Scott. In his last two games Scott is averaging 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and is shooting lights out from deep. Definitely a solid sleeper-play today.

Center
Jeff Green ($4,200) – My favorite play at center today is Jeff Green. He’s played 30+ min in both of the last two games and has scored in double digits in six of his last seven. With a depleted frontcourt and a ton of guards, Green should be safe for a solid amount of minutes today and I expect him to do well in those minutes provided.
Chris Boucher ($5,300) – If the Raptors even end up playing all of their studs, I think we see a scenario where they rest in the second half. It’s also looking like Ibaka will sit again today. This should open up another opportunity for Boucher to shine and with a little extra run in his last two games he’s done just that. I love Chris Boucher again today.
Let’s end the NBA regular season on a high-note and make sure you guys are staying in discord to stay up to date with how we’re playing the slate as lineup news breaks!!
