Fantasy Football Week 10 Player Dilemmas

Kenneth Walker – RB

Kenneth Walker, once a top fantasy running back, has seen a dip in his performance. He hasn’t delivered as a top-12 fantasy back since Week 6, and his recent snap counts are concerning. Rookie Zack Shonet has been getting more snaps than expected, and Walker’s involvement in the passing game has been minimal.

Despite recent struggles, Walker still possesses big-play potential and should remain in your lineup. However, monitor the situation closely, especially with matchups against the Cowboys, 49ers, and Eagles on the horizon.

James Cook – RB

James Cook’s fantasy output has been underwhelming this season. In his most recent game, he managed just six carries and four receptions for a total of 39 yards. Cook has only delivered three top-15 fantasy performances this year, and the Buffalo Bills recently signed Leonard Fournette, adding competition to the backfield.

Cook may not be an automatic start every week, but he has favorable matchups against the Broncos and Jets in the next two weeks. Despite some inconsistency, Cook has the potential for explosive plays, making him a viable fantasy option.

Zack Moss – RB

Zack Moss’s recent snap counts have been a cause for concern. Over the past two weeks, he has seen the field for just 21% of the plays, indicating a diminishing role in the Buffalo Bills’ offense. Jonathan Taylor has firmly taken control of the Colts’ backfield, leaving Moss with limited opportunities.

Consider benching Moss in your fantasy lineup, and if you have roster space, stash him as a high-quality handcuff. However, in shallower leagues, it might be time to part ways with him.

George Pickens – WR

George Pickins, while not delivering consistent fantasy production, remains a valuable asset for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite his recent struggles, Pickins is still the team’s best deep threat in the passing game. Pittsburgh’s limited receiving options make Pickins a viable flex play, but he’s far from a must-start option until he proves otherwise.

Michael Thomas – WR

Michael Thomas has faced challenges in the 2023 fantasy football season. In Week 9, he received just one target, resulting in zero receptions. Thomas’s production has been inconsistent, and he faces competition from teammates like Rashod Shahed for targets. While he may have a relatively high floor, Thomas lacks significant upside due to the Saints’ offensive distribution.

Whether to hold onto Thomas depends on your league and roster size. If more enticing options are available on waivers, it might be time to consider a change.
