Fantasy Heaven 2021
Chris Robin https://twitter.com/DetroitBeastie
I find it best to be kind. Being nice is always free! It is out of character to talk ill of others or situations. Writing fade articles and broadcasts about players I dislike this season is not something I enjoy. Yet, it is my duty as a fantasy sportswriter to present my findings to you.
On the brighter side, Fantasy Heaven is much more fulfilling and kind-hearted! Fantasy Heaven is as it sounds. Football players are absolute joys to own. Never a question about sitting or starting. Simply put, set it, and forget. My favorite kind of football player!
Just so we are clear, fantasy heaven is a special set of circumstances. Everybody goes nuts trying to figure out the best starts and sits each week. While no one sits back to enjoy it all! Let me help with that process. Sit back, relax and let’s go over all the fantasy football players who are heaven to the roster!

Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs QB)
What I love most about this article are the positivity and straightforward approach. Mahomes finished 2020 with his third straight high-end season at the position. Pat ranked top five in pass attempts, passing yards, passing TDs, and YPA while also finishing in the top-10 among QBs in rushing yards. What you see is what you get with Mr. Mahomes. Sit back and enjoy the ride!
Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills QB)
Allen’s 2020 season was picture perfect and a true break-out in every sense of the word! If you stuck to your guns with Josh, I salute you! Josh ranked no lower than sixth among QBs in pass attempts, completions, passing yards, passing TDs, and completion percentage. The icing on the cake with him must be all the rushing yardage and touchdowns on the ground. Mr. Allen has now scored, at least, eight total touchdowns on the ground in each of his first three seasons. Buckle up now because I have a feeling, he has something special in store for us in 2021!
Kyler Murray (Arizona Cardinals QB)
Remember when Kyler was drafted first overall and large groups of people said it was an awful selection? Kyler is too tiny; he cannot see over the offensive line? What about all the teeny-tiny laughable photos that were floating around? Kyler made all those people look silly! Although no one will admit their mistake Kyler is a certified stud! The Cardinals’ pace of play (top-3 in the NFL) mixed with his rushing ability makes him an absolute joy to own!
Just Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers QB)
A little preemptive I know but better safe than sorry! Herbert (sixth overall selection in 2020) accounted for 36 TDs and 10 INTs in fifteen games, which helped him to a top-10 fantasy week in 60% of his starts. The apprehension headed into the 2021 season with Justin is high. Sophomore slump, big stage, and all the lights may be too much. Personally speaking, this kid is authentic. It is not a question of if, but when, Herbs unlocks this offense and displays its true potential!
Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans RB)
Self-explanatory here. King Henry rushed for over 2,000 yards last season. Henry is, without doubt, the definition of “set it and forget it.” I am well aware of all the doubters in addition to the “he will decline soon” people. Why can’t we be present and enjoy a run like this rather than being skeptical and trying to fast forward the process?
Aaron Jones (Green Bay Packers RB)
Aaron has been a top-five fantasy back each of the past two seasons, ranking no lower than 15th in carries and no lower than 12th in targets among RBs. Jones is so dang efficient and there are no signs of slowing down! People love to focus on the negatives. Jamaal Williams left for Detroit but now the shadow of AJ Dillon looms large. Let us be thankful for what we have instead of looking for a weird loophole into what could be. The Green Bay offense, with Aaron Rodgers at the helm, has always worked best with two talented running-backs. Aaron Jones has a stellar history, and you will be heaven with him as your RB1 in 2021!
Davante Adams (Green Bay Packers RB)
If you are reading this, then you know. One hundred and forty-eight targets last season with eighteen total touchdowns is flat-out ridiculous. Not putting anyone down but if you don’t have Adams as your overall wide receiver one then you’re trying too hard. No reason to get cute with Davante. He finished as the 2020 WR1 by twenty-nine total points. What more do you need to see? Take it all in.
DeAndre Hopkins (Arizona Cardinals WR)
Four consecutive top-5 finishes at wide receiver. Two different teams and numerous different quarterbacks later, D-Hop is still getting it done. Why question it? At 29 years old, nearing the end of his prime, let us be present and thankful for DeAndre Hopkins as he is.
Stefon Diggs (Buffalo Bills WR)
Let me ask you a question if I may? After leaving Minnesota and landing in Buffalo did you discount Diggs? Did you pass on him? Answer honestly! If it helps, I did. Look at us now! Buffalo went wild in 2020 and the Allen/Diggs connection was mind-blowing! It’s human nature to question everything. Especially with football! Stefon’s insane usage last season, league-leading 166 targets, should not be!
Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs TE)
Something-something 145 targets, 105 receptions, 1,416 yards, and eleven touchdowns. No need to waste your time here. With or without his beard, Kelce is so good he deserves a first-round ADP.
Justin Tucker (Baltimore Ravens K)
Did you know Justin Tucker has never finished as the number one overall ranked kicker in fantasy? Not the way I wanted to start his blurb but being honest has its merits! The kicker position is very volatile. I respect if you stream the position, but some kickers deserve the top spot. Tucker will finally finish as the number one overall kicker in 2021.
Here are few other players and defensive units I could see being heaven to own in the 2021 season!
Washington Football Team DST
Talk about being jealous! The Washington Football Team has built a monster on defense. As a life-long DST streamer think I am finally ready to settle down with one. Hopefully, Washington and I are happy together!
Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams QB)
As a life-long Michigander and Detroiter, I wish Stafford nothing but the best! Almost certain Stafford finds what he’s looking for in Los Angeles this coming season.
Nick Chubb (Cleveland Browns RB)
Have you heard from anyone who is actively fading Nick Chubb this coming season? Sounds nuts right? Be kind to them. This time next year, after Chubb goes nuts, we can have our fun!
Austin Ekeler (Los Angeles Chargers RB)
Word is out on Austin and his upcoming receiving work. Take advantage now while there’s still time. Should be no issue projecting Ekeler as a top-10 running back in PPR formats.
A.J. Brown (Tennessee Titans WR)
When AJB catches the ball and wants to find the endzone he does exactly that. Instead of fading Brown after the addition of Julio Jones look upon him as an even better wide receiver option with more room to roam.
CeeDee Lamb (Dallas Cowboys WR)
I have read several far-out and wacky books. One is the fact we do not choose who we fall in love in fall with. It all happens how it’s supposed to. If you have connected the dots by now, then you are aware I did not choose to love CeeDee Lamb but here we are. Almost certain Lamb grabs the reigns as the Cowboys WR1 early this coming season. Getting him on your fantasy teams is now or never.
This was nice! I always enjoy sharing the good news. Thanks for reading. Any questions or comments? Leave one here!
