Free NBA Weekly DFS Lineup Report for DraftKings 3/2

It’s time for the NBA Weekly DFS Lineup Report for Draftkings. I’ll be focusing on the Draftkings main contest on the main slate every day from the previous week. The “main contest” is the $15 unless DK switches things up and offers a $20 contest or maybe even a special lower priced event like an $8 contest.

All of the information presented below comes via Fantasy Cruncher Pro and their Lineup Study and Rewind features. This is a must have tool if you’re being serious about DFS. You’ll have the ability to go back through years worth of data and analyze great players, or like I’ll be doing, specific contests. I really can’t recommend FC Pro enough.

Before I proceed with this week’s breakdown I want to mention that Team Rise or Fall isn’t just a basketball website. Our members are getting great returns across all sports. Here’s a look at some PGA results:

February 23, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $12 NBA $500K Finger Roll:

Winning DraftKings Lineup for 2-23

This was a nine-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players priced above 9k (Both above 10k), three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and two players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

Two players close to 11k in salary each is a build I probably would never get to. It helps to have two players at 3.1k and 3.2k in salary but still. That’s a lot of salary dedicated to two players when I could have an 11k player and maybe two players in the 8k range.

February 24, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $15 NBA $450K Fadeaway:

Winning Lineup for DraftKings 2-24

This was a 9-game slate with a winning entry that featured one player above 9k in salary, one player projected for 40+ fantasy points (Two players projected for 39.55 and 39.94 fantasy points so 40 if we round up), and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more (One player with a projected ownership of 19.7% so 20% if we round up).

This lineup has three players below 4k in salary. Definitely a more “Stars and Scrubs” type of build. Hopefully you’re picking up that the lineup build really varies from slate to slate.

February 25, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the first place entry in the $15 NBA $500K Fadeaway:

Winning Lineup for DraftKings 2-25

This was a six-game slate with a winning entry that featured one player priced above 9k, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and five players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

We’ve seen Giannis pop up two out of the first three winning lineups, and he was priced at 11k both times. He dropped 66 and 60 fantasy points in those outings. That makes him worth the salary and a decent play even though he had a projected ownership of 20% or more on both slates. I personally like to let the field have a really high priced player with high projected ownership while I pivot to a lower owned but comparable player. (Maybe I need to revisit that strategy)

February 26, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $15 NBA $500K Fadeaway:

Winning Lineup for DraftKings 2-26

This was an nine-game slate with a winning entry that featured no players priced above 9k in salary and no players below 5k in salary. There was one player projected for 40+ fantasy points, and there were four players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

This is about the most balanced lineup that you could throw into a contest. I kinda want to take a picture of this and hang it on the wall. I wouldn’t necessarily build a lineup this balanced but it’s a great job by “DBerry923.”

February 27, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $15 NBA $450K Fadeaway:

Winning Lineup for DraftKings 2-27

This was a seven-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players priced at 9k or more, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

It’s interesting to see that while just three players were projected to be owned 20% or more the night ended with six players carrying ownership of 20% or higher. Chalk ruled this day.

February 28, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $20 NBA $450K Sunday Shootaround:

Winning Lineup for DraftKings 2-28

This was a eight-game slate with a winning entry that featured one player priced at 9k or more, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

This is a pretty standard lineup. Not a lot to add to this one.

March 1, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $12 NBA $500K Finger Roll:

Winning Lineup for DraftKings 3-1

This was a seven-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players priced above 9k, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

We end this week’s analysis the way we started it today. Two really expensive guys and then three guys in the 3k range. The builds were all over the place this week. That’s the thing with daily fantasy, things change from day-to-day and slate by slate.

*Six out of the seven lineups this week used at least $49,800 in salary. Six out of the seven lineups last week used at least $49,800 in salary. Two weeks ago featured four lineups below $49,800. I think that week was an outlier (Also that’s just DFS), so I’ve been using $49,800 as my minimum salary.

*Every lineup used at least two players from the same team.

*Six out of seven lineups featured a game stack.

CONCLUSION

Five out of the 56 players reviewed this week were projected for less than 20 fantasy points, just like last week. And also like last week, one of the five players would be at 20 fantasy points if I rounded up. It looks like the guys that are projected below 20 fantasy points are filling in for late scratches. Their projected fantasy points don’t reflect the change in their role.

The salary used in the winning lineup has been below $49,800 10 times out of 63 slates (15.9%). So 84% of the time we should use $49,800 or more in salary. It’s the strongest trend in nine weeks of analyzing winning lineups. I see no reason to buck this trend.

That’s all from me for now. I’ll see you all in a week. Until then, LET’S GET THIS MONEY!
