Free NBA Weekly DFS Lineup Report for FanDuel 2/25

It’s time for the NBA Weekly DFS Lineup Report for FanDuel. This will be like the review for DraftKings if you’ve been following along with that report.

I’ll be focusing on the FanDuel main contest on the main slate every day from the previous week. The “main contest” is the $3 Clutch Shot unless FD switches things up and offers a $4.44 contest or a $3.33 contest.

All of the information presented below comes via Fantasy Cruncher Pro and their Lineup Study and Rewind features. This is a must have tool if you’re being serious about DFS. You’ll have the ability to go back through years worth of data and analyze great players, or like I’ll be doing, specific contests. I really can’t recommend FC Pro enough.

One last thing before I drop these jewels. Props to Team Rise or Fall member “jfsully61” for his huge takedown on DraftKings. Congrats to him for putting in the hard work to win $100,000. And to think, he did it using Team Rise or Fall tools like Building Blocks and Slate Breakers. Amazing!

February 18, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $500K Thu NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning Lineup for FanDuel 2-18

This was a three-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players above 9k in salary (Both were above 11k!!), three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and six players with a projected ownership of 20% or more. Tyler Herro had a projected ownership of 19.7% and just missed the cut.

It was a three-game slate so we can expect condensed ownership like this. Also, there were no players projected for less than 20 fantasy points in the lineup.

February 19, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $444K Fri NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning Lineup for FanDuel 2-19

This was an nine-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players above 9k in salary, the same two players were projected for 40+ fantasy points, and there were three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more. We once again see a player just miss the 20% mark with Ja Morant carrying a projected ownership of 19.6%.

There were no players projected for fewer than 20 fantasy points in this lineup. That’s been a pretty solid trend although it’s something that DFS folks have talked about for awhile.

February 20, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the first place entry in the $3 $444K Sat NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning Lineup for FanDuel 2-20

This was a five-game slate with a winning entry that featured three players priced above 9k, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and five players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

Jamming three studs into a lineup means you’re gonna have to find some value somewhere. There were three players priced at 4.4k or lower to allow the big guns into the lineup.

February 21, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $444K Sun NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning Lineup for FanDuel 2-21

This was a seven-game slate with a winning entry that featured one player with a salary greater than 9k, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and four players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

Interesting to see that six of the nine available player spots were all from one game. Big game stacks like that are usually reserved for slates with five games or less. I guess this shows again that anything CAN happen in DFS although I wouldn’t bank on big game stacks on larger slates.

February 22, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $500K Mon NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning Lineup for FanDuel 2-22

This was a six-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players priced above 9k, the same two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and two players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

Here’s a pretty contrarian lineup considering the slate size. It’s also the night that the Washington Wizards-Los Angeles Lakers game went to overtime so Russell Westbrook and LeBron James had five extra minutes to put up points. I imagine “petermax1999” was ecstatic when he saw the game headed to OT.

February 23, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3 $444K Tue NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning Lineup for FanDuel 2-23

This was a nine-game slate with the top entry featuring one player priced above 9k, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and NO players projected for 20% or more in ownership.

The ownership numbers for this entry are definitely eye catching. There were two players in the 10%-20% range for ownership projection (Pascal Siakam just missed at 9.9%), and four players with a projected ownership below 2%. It also stands out that there were two players projected for less than 20 fantasy points.

February 24, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3 $444K Wed NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning Lineup for FanDuel 2-24

This was a nine-game slate with a winning entry that featured one player priced above 9k, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and six players with a projected ownership of 20% or more. Poor Bam Adebayo missed out on the 20% club with a projected ownership of 19.3%.

I’ll be honest here, I wasn’t big on Patty Mills on this slate. I didn’t think he would hit 6x or 7x value and I was right. But so what. Using him allowed “force100” to construct a 100k winning lineup. The total salary used was only $59,200 which is unusual for NBA as we’ve discussed, but still, props to anyone that wins $100,00.

*Six out of seven lineups featured at least two teammates. Four of the winning lineups used three teammates.

*Every winning lineup featured a game stack. The largest stacks used three players from one team. The largest game stack was on a five-game slate with three players from both teams.

*The winning lineup used the full $60,000 salary four out of seven times. More notable is that the salary used was $59,600 or less three times.

*There were three players out of the 63 players across seven contests that were projected for less than 20 fantasy points. One of those three players would be at 20 fantasy points if I rounded up.

CONCLUSION

I’ve looked at 38 contests so far for the Free NBA Weekly DFS Lineup Report for FanDuel. The total salary used has been below $59,800 just 11 times (28.9%). Five of those instances the slate had five or fewer games. That makes sense to me because with less games we have to get more creative if we’re trying to get the top spot. There were four times when the salary was below $59,800 and the slate size had nine or more games.

I mentioned it above but almost every player in the winning lineups is projected for 20+ fantasy points. There are times with late news and late swap that you can slide a player projected for less than 20 fantasy points into your lineups. Overall though 20 points seems to be a good place to draw a line.

That’s all from me for now. I’ll see you all in a week. Until then, LET’S GET THIS MONEY!
