Happy Saturday and welcome to the weekend! Has it been a long week? Has the week spilled over into your weekend? Hopefully, all is well, and you can rest and be in peace for the next few days.

With the men’s college basketball tournament taking shape tonight’s NHL action is ripe for the picking! Let’s take it a step further with several stacks off the beaten path. I cannot wait!

There are eight total games on the Main slate locking at 7p EST to go along with two Early Only games! Here’s what I am thinking for tonight’s Main slate action!

NBA Study Hub

Make sure you head to Rise or Fall and check out the NBA DFS Study Hub for tonight. Very nice 7 game slate!

ARIZONA COYOTES L1 at Boston Bruins 7p est

Clayton Keller L1 & PP1(FD-$7,100)(DK-$5,900)
Travis Boyd L1 & PP1(FD-$4,300)(DK-$3,100)
Nick Schmaltz L1 & PP1(FD-$5,800)(DK-$5,500)

What kind of ungrateful freak would I be to leave out the Coyotes tonight after all they have done for us! Arizona is the classic case of who cares who wins we just want points. However, I am aware the Boston Bruins are good, like good, good! Boston hosts the Yotes tonight with a record of 35-18-5 and has won three of their last five games. Bruin rookie goaltender, Jeremy Swayman is 16-7 with a minuscule 2.07 GAA.

In all honesty, given the slate size, the Coyotes skaters will be so under-owned they may not even register in the Rise or Fall Study Hub. If you are apprehensive about stacking their entire first line, then please use Clayton Keller as a one-off. Keller has done it all for Arizona this season and is the team leader points(55), goals(24), assists(31), and three power-play goals. Keller is walking talking over prob bet and DFS one-off!

If you have played DFS long enough then the connection we’ve established between certain players, teams, and lines aren’t weird to you. After pouring our heart and soul into this daily it’s normal. Arizona’s first line currently has me feeling some type of way!

Arizona hangs tough in Boston tonight and sneaks out a win! Final score ARZ 5-4!

CALGARY FLAMES L1 vs. Detroit Red Wings 7p est

Elias Lindholm L1 & PP1(FD-$8,100)(DK-$7,000)
Johnny Gaudreau L1 & PP1(FD-$8,700)(DK-$7,300)
Matthew Tkachuck L1 & PP1(FD-$8,000)(DK-$7,000)

Realistically this blurb could be over in two seconds. Calgary is playing the Detroit Wings tonight, stack them every which way! That would be rude of me. I would never leave you high and dry. Let’s explore this game a little bit. You might be surprised by my findings!

The Flames offense is scoring, on average, 3.50 goals a game. While allowing opponents to score around 2.50 goals a game. The full goal differential isn’t eye-popping but it is a recipe for success. On the other hand, the Detroit Red Wings are allowing, as of late, 3.75 goals a game. It’s not all bad for this young up-and-coming Wings team. Yes, they give up a ton of goals, but they also dish them out.

If it’s not broke, DFS wise, don’t fix it! Stack this game from top to bottom and watch the counting stats add up! Calgary has an outstanding offense, and I just don’t see the Red Wings stopping them much.

Calgary wins at home tonight. Final score 6-3.

NEW JERSEY DEVILS L1 vs. Anaheim Ducks 7p est

Jack Hughes L1 & PP1(FD-$8,400)(DK-$6,700)
Dawson Mercer L1 & PP2(FD-$4,700)(DK-$3,100)
Yegor Sharangovich L1 & PP2(FD-$5,500)(DK-$3,800)

Hopefully, you have noticed by now but I’m taking the road less traveled tonight with hockey. Well, aside from Calgary, my three other stacks are not flashy. Which can make for an eventful evening! If you were to approach someone on the street and tell them, you plan on stacking the Devils against the Ducks tonight you would be laughed at. Good, that is exactly the response I am looking for tonight!

The Devils are bad sure, but not last place awful in the Metropolitan division. That belongs to the Flyers. New Jersey has been able to rattle off 33 shots a game which has led to, on average, 3.05 goals a game. Unfortunately, the Devils are allowing 3.50 per contest. So, there is a little opening here to also stack the Ducks. The Mighty Ducks defense is allowing opposing teams to score around 3.15 goals a game on about 33 total shots per.

One thing that stuck out to me in this one has been the Duck’s power-play seeing how they have racked up 42 total power-play goals. We can game stack or we can sprinkle around Anaheim in our other lines. Let me save you some time! Here is their first power unit:

Sam Steel PP1 & L2(FD-$3,700)(DK-$2,500)
Rickard Rakell PP1 & L2(FD-$5,200)(DK-$4,500)
Sonny Milano PP1 & L2(FD-$4,000)(DK-$3,300)
Vinni Lettieri PP1 & L2(FD-$3,500)(DK-$2,500)
Defenseman – Jamie Drysdale PP1 & L2(FD-$4,200)(DK-$3,900)

Most folks seem to think this game will be a snoozer with no more than three total goals. I beg to differ and both, New Jersey, and Anaheim will be in my plans tonight. Once again, let’s go against the grain!

The Devils will prevail but not without some action from the Ducks! Final score 4-3.

OTTAWA SENATORS L1 vs. Chicago Blackhawks 7p est

Josh Norris L1 & PP1(FD-$6,500)(DK-$6,000)
Brady Tkachuck L1 & PP1(FD-$6,500)(DK-$6,600)
Connor Brown L1 & PP2(FD-$5,100)(DK-$4,000)

Ottawa is surprisingly looking for their third consecutive victory tonight as they host the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago has lost three of their last four games after a bad bounce Thursday night with 18 seconds left allowing Boston to score and win.

True to form let’s look to creep up on some folks as we stack the Senator’s first line! Ottawa is scoring, on average, 2.60 goals a game while allowing around 3.20 goals a game. Not a long-term recipe for success but all we care about is tonight! Josh Norris is the guy in Ottawa having scored a team-best 22 goals while fellow first-line mate Brady Tkachuck checks in with 42 points.

As it stands now the Blackhawks are allowing 3.45 goals a game to opposing teams. As we crunch more numbers, we find that the Senators have been pretty blah on their home ice. Having only won 2 of their last 8 at the Canadian Tire Centre. Let’s face it both teams are having bad seasons, but I do believe Ottawa finds a way to win here.

Ottawa wins as we laugh all the way to the bank! Final score OTT 3-1.
