Never judge a book by its cover. Do you remember being told that as a child? A lot of what we do now, as adults, was learned behavior back then. Here are a few others: treat others how you want to be treated, wash your hands, and learn to share.
How many of you know someone that needs to be reminded of at least one of these? Yes, I figured you’d say that. A lot of people do! You are right! The one I am stuck on right now is judging others. It’s common human behavior. In some cases, it’s healthy human behavior. Trusting our instincts and listening to our guts. When it spills over into making fun of or putting others down, we have a problem.
You would be shocked at what a little compliment or positive pleasantry can do for the human spirit. Reach out to someone today and give them some kind words. Use your manners and express those positive feelings. If it doesn’t lift your spirit, then I will gladly refund your misery tomorrow!
Big-time hockey schedule today! Eleven total games chopped up into six separate slates on Fanduel and four on Draftkings. Let’s talk about it! Fair warning, I am going to explore a few times and a few lines off the beaten path. Edmonton, Toronto, Calgary, and Pittsburgh are playing today. Those four teams will command a ton of ownership so let’s see what we can put together from an underutilized perspective.

The Rise or Fall NHL DFS cores are 100% FREE today! Big time 11 game slate too! Take advantage and stick around!

NEW JERSEY DEVILS L1 at Edmonton Oilers 3p Est
Jack Hughes L1 & PP1(FD-$8,300)(DK-$7,100)
Jasper Bratt L1 & PP1(FD-$7,000)(DK-$5,000)
Yegor Sharangovich L1 & PP2(FD-$5,700)(DK-$4,000)
What in the world are you thinking Chris? I imagine that’s what you said out loud after reading this stack. I can’t help the fact I am just predisposed to looking into the cheap misfit DFS plays! The New Jersey Devils head to Edmonton tonight to battle the Oilers. As of now, the Devils are 22-34-6 overall and an awful 8-20-2 on the road. The Devils are scoring, on average, 2.85 goals on around 32 total shots a game.
The Edmonton offensive has basically been a well-oiled machine scoring around 3.20 goals a game while averaging a healthy 36 shots per contest. So, what gives? Check this out, the Oiler defensive has been known to get a little lackadaisical seeing how they are giving up around 3.25 goals a game on 32 total shot attempts.
The OVER 6.5 goals in this one is a given. As both teams trade goals the Devils come out on top!
Final score NJ wins 5-4!
OTTAWA SENATORS L1 at Montreal Canadiens 7p Est
Josh Norris L1 & PP1(FD-$6,900)(DK-$5,900)
Brady Tkachuck L1 & PP1(FD-$7,200)(DK-$6,700)
Colin White L1 & PP1(FD-$4,600)(DK-$4,000)
Remember how I have mentioned sometimes it’s not about the actual team we stack but the opponent? Case in point, Montreal Canadiens. Canadiens host the Senators tonight with an overall record of 16–36–9, not good. Montreal has also lost four out of their last five games, not good. Their last win, in OT, was all the way back to Sunday, March 13th in Philadelphia. Not good.
Whiz kid, Brady Tkachuk is leading the Sens in points with 44 in addition to 20 goals and 24 total assists. Josh Norris is the team leader in goals with 24 while 11 of those goals have been scored on the power play! The Ottawa first line is the classic double-dipping scenario! All three skaters are on the first line. All three skaters on the first power-play unit!
The battle for Canada starts at 7p eastern time. Montreal is basically a talking and skating mash unit. They have been hit hard by the injury bug. For that fact, I am stacking Ottawa tonight!
Final score 5-1 Sens win!
DETROIT RED WINGS at Seattle Kraken 10p EST
Dylan Larkin L1 & PP1(FD-$8,100)(DK-$5,800)
Lucas Raymond L1 & PP1(FD-$5,600)(DK-$4,700)
Vladislav Namestnikov L1(FD-$3,700)(DK-$2,500)
The Red Wings stay on the road tonight and head to Seattle to take on the squids. Detroit is on the last legs of a long road trip. However, after tonight they fly home to rest and recoup and wait to host the Flyers on Tuesday the 22nd. Two things at play here for me. First, the Seattle Kraken are having a rough go in their first season in the NHL. With an 18-36-6 record that’s not up for debate. Second, this young Wings team knows they have several days of rest in front of them!
Detroit’s captain, Dylan Larkin, leads this Wings offense with 27 goals and 58 points on 168 total shots. While the Kraken have been awful on offense only averaging 2.50 goals a game to go along with a league-worst 29 shots a game.
Don’t overthink this one but don’t gloss over this Red Wings team tonight. The last game on the schedule should provide a bevy of fantasy points to get us to the finish line tonight!
The Detroit Red Wings in Seattle and head home to rest! Final score DET 5-1
ONE-OFF Alert! Mo Seider L1 & PP1(FD-$6,100)(DK-$5,700)
This kid has been outstanding all season averaging about 23 minutes of ice time a game. Mo also leads the Wings in assist with 37. Again, stack up Detroit’s first line for maximum exposure!
