Everybody is moving so fast nowadays there is no time to stop and smell the roses. I mean that more figuratively than literally. The world is moving along at warp speed, yet we are all expected to keep up with the same hours, appointments, and relationships. It can be a lot. It can also be too much to handle.

We have our breaking point and once we snap and freak out then it’s too late. We hurt those around us. We say awful things to those we hold close. It should never get that far. Self-care is also widely talked about and joked about but take it seriously!

If you’re like me then you feel guilty to unplug and disconnect. You might take that as rude and disrespectful while I find it necessary for my survival. The move is to be open and honest with your intentions and your feelings. Take some time today to stop and breathe. Hang that ‘do not disturb sign on your door, phone, or brain today. You deserve it!

Big-time eleven-game NHL schedule tonight! The first puck drop is at 7p EST in Carolina. While the late game starts in Los Angeles at 10:30p EST! Enjoy and have a blast with your builds tonight!

PITTSBURGH PENGUINS L1 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets 7p EST

Sidney Crosby L1 & PP1(FD-$8,500)(DK-$8,000)
Bryan Rust L1 & PP1(FD-$8,700)(DK-$7,200)
Jake Guentzel L1 & PP1(FD-$8,600)(DK-$7,500)

The Penguins are finally home tonight after a short three-game road trip. Pittsburg welcomes in the Blue Jackets who have won four of the last five games played! However, Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry was outstanding Saturday night against the Coyotes posting a .952 save percentage.

As usual Sidney Crosby put the Penguins offense on his back to the tune of two goals on six shots on exactly 20:01 minutes of ice time. Cohorts Kasperi Kapanen and Evgeni Malkin each scored as well. When we put these two teams side by side you will notice that Pittsburgh has the better defense and will cause the Blue Jackets fits!

When we look ahead to tonight’s matchup Pittsburgh is 4-1 straight up in their last 5 games. While Columbus is 4-1 straight up in their last 5 games. So, what gives? Both teams are playing well as of late but let’s stack PIT1 as they’ve been known to stuff box scores!

Final score Pittsburgh 5-2!

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS L1 at Detroit Red Wings 7:30p EST

Kevin Hayes L1 & PP2(FD-$4,700)(DK-$3,800)
Joel Farabee L1 & PP2(FD-$4,400)(DK-$3,800)
Travis Konecny L1 & PP2(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,400)

The Detroit Red Wings are home tonight after losing to the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night. I mean, nowhere to go but up after that one. The Flyers won their last game 2-1 which now puts them at 20-31-11 on the year overall.

So far this year the Flyers have scored, on average, 2.52 goals a game. The Philly power play is atrocious scoring only 13.7% of the time. The Flyer’s defense is has allowed about 3.40 goals a game so that also gives me hope the Wings are also in play to stack, within reason. The Wings are only scoring about 2.80 goals a game. The Wings power play is cashing in around 18% of the time. Detroit’s defense is allowing about 3.70 goals a game this season.

Two betting trends before we move on here. The Flyers are 8-3 in their last 11 games against Detroit. While they are only 5-12 their last 17 games. Every coin has two sides. Which way are you leaning tonight? The Wing’s lack of defense will be an issue tonight.

Final score, the Flyers win at Little Caesars Arena tonight, 4-2!

ONE-OFF ALERT! Morgan Frost L3 & PP1(FD-$3,400)(DK-$2,500)

I have literally nothing to back up Frost here. However, I will say this kid has popped up on several optimizers going back to last night. Morgan is only on the ice around 13-14 minutes but his time with the first power-play unit intrigues me tonight.

ARIZONA COYOTES L1 vs. Seattle Kraken 10p EST

Nick Schmaltz L1 & PP1(FD-$5,900)(DK-$5,000)
Travis Boyd L1 & PP2(FD-$4,100)(DK-$3,200)
Clayton Keller L1 & PP1(FD-$7,400)(DK-$5,900)

My second favorite NHL team, Arizona hosts the lackluster Seattle Kraken tonight! Almost certain they fair better than the Wings in this one!

This season Arizona has been averaging about 2.60 goals a game. On the other end, the Coyotes are allowing, on average 3.55 goals a game. The Kraken has struggled to gain any traction in their first year and is scoring around 2.55 goals a game. The Seattle defense is also allowing about 3.57 goals a game.

So, let’s face it this game will not be on anyone’s radar. Not saying that for leverage purposes. Not saying that to be different. I am honestly interested in this Coyotes first line. The Kraken is 3-12 in their last 15 games. The Kraken is also 1-8 in their last 9 road games. That’s why I am interested.

I am honestly expecting a back-and-forth affair in the dessert tonight. The Yotes come out on top! Final score 5-3!

ONE-OFF ALERT! Shayne Gostisbehere L1 & PP1(FD-$5,400)(DK-$5,000)

Shayne has become the sneakiest of stud defenseman no one has ever heard of. The guy is normally on the ice for 24-25+ minutes. He’s been racking up assists his last five games. He’s been blocking shots and is a massive part of this first line on both even strength and the power play.

Dallas Stars L1 vs. Edmonton 8:30p EST

Roope Hintz L1 & PP1(FD-$6,400)(DK-$6,000)
Jason Robertson L1 & PP1(FD-$8,300)(DK-$6,600)
Joe Pavelski L1 & PP1(FD-$7,300)(DK-$6,000)

The Dallas Stars are 19-7 in their last 26 home games. While the Oilers have won their last five games! We should have an outstanding hockey game in Dallas tonight!

Playing the OVER 6 goals in this one is an absolute no-brainer. Final score DAL wins 5-4!

St. Louis Blues L2 at Washington Capitals 7p EST

Brayden Schenn L2 & PP2(FD-$5,600)(DK-$4,800)
Pavel Buchnevich L2 & PP2(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,600)
Jordan Kyrou L2 & PP2(FD-$5,900)(DK-$5,900)

Most folks will be on the Caps tonight and fair enough. Sometimes when the numbers are begging me to take a team I do the opposite, just in case. Everything on earth is screaming CAPS! CAPS! CAPS! Given the fact that the Blues are 1-4 in their last 5 road games. St. Louis is 1-5 in their last 6 vs. Metropolitan teams. The Washington Capitals’ record is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. See what I mean? Ovi and the Caps should be a sure thing tonight, right?

The Blues sneak one out in Washington tonight robbing the Caps and winning 3-2!
