The day after a stressful situation or anxiety-riddled over think tends to feel a lot like an actual hangover. I cannot be the only one who feels that way. Out of respect to the others who suffer from anxiety I want to be clear here. I am in no way poking fun or trying to turn this into a fun little segment. I am merely speaking from my heart after a nasty Wednesday personally.
So, now what? How do we get back up and find our bearings today, Thursday? Well, I have a few things I hold dear that have worked for me over the years. I do not find it wise to tell someone else’s story so all of what I say is from personal experience.
Start slow and choose a fun and easy activity to get your attitude and mood off to a good start. Make that extra cup of coffee and read that next chapter you have been dying to get to. Make a phone call or send that text to a loved one. Receiving an early morning message, a wave, or a smile does wonders for our mood.
To some this up live for the simple pleasures and activities that bring you excitement and joy. No one is stopping you. The difference between a bad attitude and floating on cloud nine is you and your decisions.
Tonight’s hockey action is comprised of ten total games! Let’s take some chances as we mix in a little chalk too! Let’s dig in!

FLORIDA PANTHERS L2 at Montreal Canadiens
Sam Bennett L2 & PP2(FD-$6,300)(DK-$5,800)
Anthony Duclair L2 & PP1(FD-$6,000)(DK-$4,500)
Jonathan Huberdeau L2 & PP1(FD-$9,000)(DK-$6,800)
The Panthers recently traded for Claude Giroux and he has been instantly onto Florida’s first line. As it stands now the Panthers are one of the premier scoring offenses in the league! Might sound a tad strange but I would like to see a few games with Claude on this first line before we start singing their praises. Chemistry is a real thing!
The Florida Panthers head to Montreal tonight and carry 42–14–6. These goals for and goals against averages stick out like a sore thumb. The Panthers are scoring, on average, 4.10 goals a game and are only allowing 2.80 goals a contest. The Canadiens have only been able to manage around 2.50 goals a game while giving up about 3.80 goals a contest.
Stacking the Florida Panthers is no secret. While Jonathan Huberdeau is leading the team in points with 86, and with 65 total assists. The decision to stack the Panthers has been made for us! Take advantage and stack them up every which way!
Florida wins big tonight! Final score 6-3!
NASHVILLE PREDATORS L1 at Las Vegas Golden Knights
Ryan Johansen L1 & PP1(FD-$5,200)(DK-$4,400)
Matt Duchene L1 & PP1(FD-$7,200)(DK-$6,500)
Filip Forsberg L1 & PP1(FD-$8,300)(DK-$7,600)
If you come across a repetitive DFS article, then stop and pay attention to it. Means the creator is onto something! From day one I have told folks to ride hot teams and hot players! Case in point, Nashville Predators! The Preds are 4-1 in their last 5 games vs. The Western Conference.
On offense, Nashville has been on fire and has hopped up to the cream of the crop while scoring, on average, 3.30 goals a game on only 29 shots. Filip Forsberg is leading the team in goals with 33 on 148 total shots. Stacking the Preds tonight is an easy business!
The Nashville offense will be too much for the King’s defense. Final score 4-1, Preds win!
STACK ADDITION! Roman Josi L1 & PP1(FD-$7,300)(DK-$9,200)
C’mon now! It’s Roman flipping Rosi! The big guy has gone a little run as of late and is now up to 78 total points. Where he has totaled 18 goals, 60 assists, 221 shots on goal, and 102 blocked shots. I mean, if you need me to let you know how good Josi is and his role with the Preds then sure thing! Shoot me a message!
For your records, Roman Josi leads the team with 75 points on the year to go along with 58 assists, also a team-high.
NEW YORK ISLANDERS L1 vs. Detroit Red Wings
Brock Nelson L1 & PP1(FD-$6,700)(DK-$6,100)
Anders Lee L1 & PP1(FD-$5,400)(DK-$5,100)
Anthony Beauvillier L1 & PP2(FD-$4,400)(DK-$4,000)
The Red Wings travel to the UBS Arena to battle the Islanders. New York currently sits two spots out of a Wild Card spot but are 17 points behind Washington. Overall, the Islanders record is 27–25–9 They have also won three out of their last five games against Ottawa, Dallas, and against the Rangers. NY Islanders are 6-2 in their last 8 games. While the Wings are 3-9 in their last 12 games.
Brock Nelson is currently the guy and team leader in points with 42, and in goals with 27. While 7 of those have been the power play. While Detroit is allowing opposing teams to score, on average, 3.70 goals a game while the Isles are only allowing 2.60. We should be in for a treat here as there should be a sense of desperation for New York. They need to stack wins and accumulate points. Although a playoff spot is all but out of reach crazier things have happened!
The Wings are a heavily penalized team, and the Islanders will take advantage. Final score, 5-4, Islanders win at home.
STACK ADDITION! Noah Dobson L1 & PP1(FD-$6,200)(DK-$6,400)
This kid has rocketed up fantasy circles and his salary has grown in DFS formats. Rightfully so, given the fact that this kid is their power-play anchor. I see a goal tonight in Noah’s future!
