Information is so readily available these days. Anything we want, or could ask for, is literally one click away. I’m not here to write a research paper or an opinion column on the demise of our society. However, I am here to give away a few tips and tricks for our daily fantasy sports entries!
We all have our own little rituals and certain habits on a day-to-day basis. One of mine involves Sunday! For as long as I can remember Sunday is an absolute rest day for me. During the football season, it’s a piece of cake. So, whatever your Sunday routine consists of I wish you the best! May you have a big breakfast and go back to bed!
At first glance, this slate is going to be tremendous. Eight total games and every single one has a higher goal implied total than normal. Florida in Toronto tonight has an over/under of seven goals! SEVEN flipping goals! What’s shocking is I have about 11 total goals scored in that one! Or how about the New Jersey Devils hanging 5 goals at home tonight against Montreal? Trust me, it gets crazier!
We have a race today friends! Head over to the site to check out the video or just click the link above!
Let’s explore the slate and find a few loopholes to exploit!
FLORIDA PANTHERS L2 at Toronto Maples 7p EST
Sam Bennett L2 & PP2(FD-$6,300)(DK-$5,900)
Anthony Duclair L2 & PP1(FD-$6,000)(DK-$4,400)
Jonathan Huberdeau L2 & PP1(FD-$8,800)(DK-$6,900)
Let me get something off my chest here. The goal implied total in this one is a whopping 6.9 goals! Let me take that a step further and tell you I believe 11ish goals are scored in Toronto tonight. Fade the goalies and stack the skaters!
The Panthers are 43-14-6 overall with 94 points. Which is good for 1st overall in the Atlantic. They are also strong on the road with a 17-8-6 record. On offense, Florida is averaging 4.12 goals on 37 shots! Defensively they are only allowing 2.88 goals a game. Once again, I am not a mathematician but that seems to be a good recipe for success!
On the flip side, Toronto is scoring, on average, 3.6 goals on 34 shots. The Leafs have been lights out on the power play converting 30.3% of the time. Which is good enough for 1st overall in the league. While on defense the Maple Leafs are allowing 2.65 goals a game.
So, what we have here is a heavyweight fight in Toronto tonight. What do we make of it? Stack it up from start to finish! The only issue is you will not be alone! One of the better games of the NHL season will take place here tonight. Goal after goal but Florida wins!
Take the OVER 7 goals and stack up Panthers as they win 6-5!
NEW JERSEY DEVILS L1 vs. Montreal Canadiens 7p EST
Jack Hughes L1 & PP1(FD-$8,200)(DK-$7,000)
Yegor Sharangovich L1 & PP2(FD-$5,500)(DK-$3,600)
Dawson Mercer L1 & PP2(FD-$4,800)(DK-$3,300)
The Habs head to Jersey to battle the Devils! While the world will be supporting the St. Peter’s Peacocks, I do believe we can sneak in some New Jersey skater stacks! Both teams are on a back-to-back tonight as well. Meaning we could see some lazy and sluggish defense! Surprisingly, The Devils have a winning home record while Montreal stinks on the road.
Skaters aside, the goalie match-up tonight is what has me going! Jon Gillies should get the start tonight for the Devils. Jon is 3-10-1 on the season with 56 goals allowed. While carrying a clunky 3.29 goals-against average. On the Montreal side, Sam Montembeault should get the nod in net for Montreal. Sam is 7-13-5 on the season with one shutout. Sam also carries a robust 3.71 goals-against average. Robust is the last adjective we want to be attached to a professional goalie.
So, in my mind, given the two goalies playing tonight this game already starts 3-3. Given each net minders GAA if that makes sense? This one just comes down to willpower as both teams will be exhausted. I am giving the edge to the Devils based on their stellar home record.
The Devils will prevail and run the Habs out of town! Final score, NJ 5-2!

WINNIPEG JETS L1 vs. Arizona Coyotes 7p EST
Pierre-Luc Dubois L1 & PP1(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,700)
Kyle Connor L1 & PP1(FD-$9,600)(DK-$8,200)
Blake Wheeler L1 & PP1(FD-$7,000)(DK-$5,700)
It’s been a nice run Arizona, but your time is up. I have always had a hard time letting go and saying goodbye. Maybe that’s a byproduct of wearing my heart on my sleeve and being so passionate. Will never fully dismiss the Coyotes but it’s time we put them back on the DFS shelf.
The other team here, The Jets, are 31-25-10 this season and are 6th in the Central. They are technical ‘still in the hunt for a playoff spot but need every point and every break to go their way. Winnipeg is also 18-13-2 at home. Connor Hellebuyck has been outstanding all year and should make his 56th start tonight. Hellebuyck is dead even as his record reads 23-23-9 for the season. Helly also has four shutouts a terrific 2.98 goals-against average.
The Arizona Coyotes skate into Winnipeg having lost four in a row. The Coyotes have also split their last ten games going 5-5. Karel Vejmelka should start tonight in goal for the Yotes. Vejmelka is currently 10-25-1 on the season and has allowed 119 total goals to go with his 3.40 goals-against average.
The Jets are just flat out the better team and should really have their way with Arizona. I see several power-play goals from this unit tonight. Take the OVER 6 goals and the Jets to win outright.
Final score, Winnipeg hangs a six-pack and topples the Yotes, 6-3!
