What’s better than a slow-moving relaxing Sunday? Not much other than adding a full hockey slate to the action! There are eight games today starting at 1p EST and ending at 8p EST in Vegas. Choose your slate wisely and let’s meet at the top of the leaderboard!

I may have said this before but it’s ok to set boundaries. Keeps our mind in the right place which leads to a better decision that helps support our mental well-being. Do not feel upset or bad about supporting yourself. Taking on too much can lead to resentments while fully draining us of all ambition. Making the next right decision leads to confidence and before you know it we have some positive momentum going!

Enjoy your Sunday! Enjoy all the NHL action today! Let’s dig in!

BUFFALO SABERS L1 vs. Los Angeles Kings 1p EST

Tage Thompson L1 & PP1(FD-$7,000)(DK-$6,800)
Alex Tuch L1 & PP1(FD-$7,100)(DK-$6,600)
Jeff Skinner L1 & PP1(FD-$6,400)(DK-$5,800)

Let’s kick off Hot Puck with one of the two early 1p EST games! In keeping with the open and honest mindset let me say this, Buffalo is not good. Not a shocker. Not a surprise.

On offense, Buffalo is averaging about 2.55 goals a game on 29 total shots. The Sabers are a solid 19% on their power-play chances. and 46.2% on faceoffs. Defensively the Sabers allow around 3.50 goals. Which would make a good case to promote the King’s first or the second line. However, we have seen this Buffalo team keep pace with the opposing team several times.

This early contest in Buffalo will have it all. It is also my favorite fully stackable game today!

The LA Kings win here 5-4 but Buffalo does some DFS damage!

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING L2 at Chicago Blackhawks 7p EST

Steven Stamkos L2 & PP1(FD-$8,500)(DK-$7,200)
Alex Killorn L2 & PP1(FD-$6,000)(DK-$4,900)
Anthony Cirelli L2(FD-$5,500)(DK-$3,800)

Stop me if you have heard this one before. The Tampa Bay Lightning are in the running for the President’s Trophy once again. Albeit seven points behind points leader Colorado(85) in a weird way do we think Tampa is trying to right the wrong of the best regular-season record years ago and being swept in the first round? Probably not seeing how they are back-to-back Stanley Cup Championships, but the idea fits my narrative here today.

The Chicago Blackhawks are not the Chicago Blackhawks of old. Realistically it’s the Pat Kane and Alex DeBrincat show while the rest of the team is aging out. So, it goes without saying that Kane leads Chicago in total points(55) and assists(38). While DeBrincat leads the Blackhawks in goals with 30.

Steven Stamkos is the Tampa Bay team leader in total points with(61), and goals(27). Ten of them have come on the power play with a tremendous number of total shots(150). Here are a few nice betting odds/lines as we dig deeper into this one. Tampa is 6-1 in their last 7 games. Tampa is 15-2 in their last 17 games against Chicago. Tampa is also 7-1 in their last 8 games IN Chicago.

I am expecting the Lightning to really turn it up here tonight in Chicago. The Blackhawks won’t know what hit them.

Tampa wins and gets it done in a big way, 7-2.

ONE-OFF ALERT! Victor Hedman L1 & PP1(FD-$6,900)(DK-$7,000)

Victor Hedman is leading the Lightning in assists with 43 while almost half of them(20) have come on the power play. Also, a little-known stat no one cares about is a specific player +/- numbers. Hedman, right now, is +15 on the season. Meaning, this guy is also in right place at the right time.

NEW YORK RANGERS L2 at Winnipeg Jets 7p EST

Ryan Strome L2 & PP1(FD-$5,800)(DK-$4,700)
Artemi Panarin L2 & PP1(FD-$7,600)(DK-$6,800)
Dryden Hunt L2(FD-$3,600)(DK-$2,500)

The Rangers head to Canada tonight to battle the Jets. New York skates into Winnipeg with a record of 35–15–5, good enough for third in the Metropolitan with 77 total points. Most recently, the Rangers have won three out of their last five games against Washington, St. Louis, and New Jersey.

The New York Rangers are averaging about 2.95 goals per game while only allowing opponents to score 2.50 goals per game. I am no mathematician, but the idea of scoring more than your opponent should bring good results! Ranger goalie Igor Shesterkin has really developed into a star while carrying a record of 27 – 6 with studly a goal against average of 1.96!

Rangers star winger Artemi Panarin is leading the team in points(59) to go along with 15 goals and 44 assists. Adam Fox could be a one-off alert given the fact he is leading the team in assists with 47, while 23 of them have come on the power play. Speaking of the right place right time, Mr. Fox is +12 on the season.

New York gets it done in Winnipeg tonight and they win 5-2!

BONUS Line Stack! CAROLINA HURRICANES L2 vs. Seattle Kraken 7p EST

I do firmly believe the Hurricanes have their way with the Kraken tonight. So much so, I am even confident to project that Seattle will be shut out! For that reason, to go along with the other stacks, Carolina’s second line is a nice cheaper source of production!

Vincent Trocheck L2 & PP1(FD-$5,700)(DK-$4,900)
Martin Necas L2 & PP2(FD-$4,900)(DK-$3,100)
Jordan Martinhook L2(FD-$3,700)(DK-$2,500)
