The way in which I approach each article is different day-to-day. The same exact thing with my daily fantasy sports entries. Guess I have been in such a good rhythm that I rarely notice my daily attitudes and approach. As of late, I have been into powerful quotes that I find to be strong and helpful. Corny or not it has certainly been a helpful tool.
CS Lewis was a British writer and theologian and his career in literature is eye-popping, in a good way. Mr. Lewis once said, “Experience is the most brutal of teachers, but you learn, my God, do you learn!” We all digest and interpret words, movies, and actions in a different ways. That’s why I find sharing my own thoughts and opinions to be so instrumental in my personal life and in my lifestyle. This quote from CS Lewis had my mind going and it put a few things in perspective.
When we look at doctors, nurses, firemen, writers, and even teachers what do you think the common thread is? Aside from saying time spent and education I see experience. Can we all agree a kid starting medical school on day one is drastically different from a resident physician? What is the difference? It’s merely experience. It’s the time spent on your craft. What separates you from the next guy? Should be several factors but the common theme will always be experiencing.

Exciting four-game NHL slate tonight with the first puck drop being at 8:30p EST in Edmonton. Here are a few ideas and stacks I am into tonight. Let’s dig in!
CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS L1 at Arizona Coyotes 8:30p EST
Patrick Kane L1 & PP1(FD-$8,700)(DK-$7,600)
Alex DeBrincat L1 & PP1(FD-$7,700)(DK-$6,700)
Dylan Strome L1 & PP1(FD-$5,600)(DK-$3,900)
The Blackhawks are seventh in the Central Division at 25-40-11 and have been eliminated from playoff contention, which makes me very happy. Jokes aside the Coyotes have lost seven games in a row and are currently allowing around 3.80 goals a game. Truth be told the Yotes have mailed it in. Packing up and making summer plans.
On the Chicago Blackhawks side of things, Alex DeBrincat is the leading team in goals with 39. As Pat Kane leads Chicago with 63 assists and a total in points of 88. The Blackhawks only score, on average, of 2.60 goals a game while allowing 3.60 goals a game.
Truth be told all the averages can be completely tossed out for a game like this one tonight. Two bad teams fighting over who is the best of the worst. The Coyotes are down bad right now as the Blackhawks still have some stud talent. The over has cashed in 5 of Arizona’s last 6 games.
Bet the over and stack up Chicago as they win, in the desert, by a final score of 6-3!

LAS VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS L2 vs. Washington Capitals 10p EST
Chandler Stephenson L2 & PP2(FD-$5,400)(DK-$3,500)
Evgenii Dadonov L2 & PP1(FD-$4,900)(DK-$3,700)
Max Pacioretty L2 & PP1(FD-$8,300)(DK-$7,100)
The Caps have been hot and cruising as of late and have won four of their last five games! played. On the flip side, Vegas is playing in their second straight home game tonight but has also lost two straight games. That was then and this is now!
I am aware that the stack listed above is the Golden Knight’s second line but make no mistake about it, the Caps are an extremely juicy stack tonight as well. Keep that in mind. So, between us, do not hesitate to stack up their first line lead by Ovi. The Washington offense has been outstanding this year and scoring, on average, 3.40 goals a game on 31 total shots. Again, stacking the Caps is just between us here.
As far as the Golden Knights are concerned it’s been all about their offense as they are scoring, on average, 3.15 goals a game on 34 total shots a contest. If possible, please add first-line winger Jonathan Marchessault(FD-$8,400)(DK-$6,100) to this stack! Which would then make it a full-blown four-man Vegas stack! Mr. March leads the Knight in points with 64 in addition to a team-high 29 goals.
Here are two betting trends of note. The total has gone over in 16 of the Capital’s last 20 games. While the total has gone over in 4 of the Golden Knight’s last 6 games. Do you know what is not a secret? Betting the over 6.5 goals tonight in Vegas.
Look for a back-and-forth contest here as both teams turn it up late. However, the Vegas Golden Knights get it done and win by a final score of 5-4!

DALLAS STARS at Edmonton Oilers at 8:30p EST
Roope Hintz L1 & PP1(FD-$7,200)(DK-$5,200)
Jason Robertson L1 & PP1(FD-$7,600)(DK-$5,600)
Joe Pavelski L1 & PP1(FD-$7,200)(DK-$5,800)
The Dallas Stars are 43-28-5 with 91 points and are smack dab in the middle of a Wild Card Playoff spot race! They currently hold the second spot in the Western Conference Wild Card. Dallas is tied with Nashville in points, but the Predators own the tiebreaker. This next week of hockey is going to get good!
On offense for the Stars, Jason Robertson is the leading goal scorer with 36, while Joe Pavelski has the most assists(48) and total points(75). Dallas has been consistent all year on offense and is scoring, on average, 2.90 goals a game while allowing about 3 goals a game. The Dallas power play is ranked 11th overall in the league as they cash in around 22.3% of the time.
Edmonton is 44-26-6 which is good enough for 94 points and a few points away from locking down a playoff spot. The Oilers are scoring, on average, 3.40 goals a game while allowing about 3.10 goals a game. Edmonton is 10-1 in their last 11 games at home. Obviously, folks will be flocking to stack up Edmonton which is not an awful idea. However, I think going against the grain with the Stars tonight could be profitable.
Expect a good one tonight in Edmonton as the Stars fall short but make us proud with DFS points. The final score in Edmonton will be 5-4!
